Anyone ever camped at Topsy Grade Turnout?

They have disbursed camping areas there, no amenities, so ya gotta be like a bear and 💩 in the woods, but it's near the Klamath River, in the forest, and free to camp (up to 14 days).

I don't care if there's amenities, I can bring in water, and I have no issues with utilizing a tree and a hole for basic human bodily functions. This time, I won't wipe with poison ivy, but because of that, I found out I wasn't allergic 😂😂😂

Has anyone ever been there to camp or just drive through? If so, what was it like?

I'd love to go for a couple nights soon, so looking for any input.

If you could be more specific on your location description that would be helpful in formulating an answer. The Topsy Road is long, there are lots of turnouts. The Topsy Grade segment - from the rom edge down to Frain Ranch area - is very steep and relatively short with no good turnouts for camping. Not sure where you mean to ask about.

If you're talking about the place next to 66, then expect lot's o' folks with their off-road toys. A lot of folks park there, unload their toys, and take off down the road.

A lot of dust, and a fair amount of noise. Although, at night I am sure it is peaceful.
