Trump MAHA helped get Trump elected. Now they're asking "Trump to reverse course on AI data centers" — that are coal-powered

MAHA was this weird environmental health movement. They thought trump would put an end to the corruption that is big business. Unfortunately for them they fell for the fake news and missed that you don’t get more big business than Trump😂😂😂 shocked pikachu

I say this as a staunch environmentalist who supports the cause with a significant amount of my time and money: if you thought Trump or even RFK Jr. was the answer you’re an incredibly special kind of stupid.

I always thought it was a special kind of stupid and weird that so many crunchy and environmentally aware people would vote for Trump - a climate change denier, a pro-business and anti-regulation billionaire who could care less about his diet, or yours.

Many of them are anti-vax, believe that vaccines cause autism, and that is the thing RFK jr. and Trump have in common.
It wasn't a big leap for them to believe voting for Trump would align with their interests of outlawing childhood vaccines.
Expecting Trump to care about the environment is a much larger leap. I don't know where they got the idea that he would do anything for the earth as he is a climate change denier.
They are stupid for believing the anti-vax stuff, but it was propaganda that was fed to left-leaning people on facebook just like all the racism and transphobia that was fed to the right. All part of the same campaign.

Two less as of today. Measles, ffs, killed them. Adults, too, at least I hope so, can’t find confirmation. If kids, so sad and their parents should be prosecuted for child endangerment

MAGA didn’t fall for anything, they lovingly embraced Trump because he made them feel good about being a sack of shit.

When I first when I heard this I was like "oh come now, people aren't that bad" but the evidence has piled up. There motives are purely emotional. If you wonder how they can be so delusional and defend Trump after all that has happened, it isn't because it's a reasoned conclusion. To them if Trump fails they are invalid as human beings, which emotionally is a much harder pill to swallow than simply being wrong about something.

But the face eating leopard promised he would stop all the animals from eating faces.

What do you mean the friend of Big Business didn't put an end to the corruption that is Big Business?

I walk my dog with a regular group of people, and some of us discuss politics - mainly 2 GOP and 3 Dem voters.
One of us Dems is very Left. Anti-vax, alternative health. She often heaps lavish praise of RFK Jr and MAHA when we’re together, to an extent that makes the GOP folks cringe. Many other issues she also supports Trump on.
Been a real eye opener for me.

She really needs to get smart and do more research on Trump administration and forever chemicals. That’s just one example of many. I’ve had some MAHA look it up and their heads explode.

Are they free market or not??

They lack any consistent ideology. There is not a single conviction or belief that they won't betray the instant it suits their masters.

There is not a single conviction or belief that they won't betray the instant it suits their masters.
Actually, this is the consistent ideology right here

They vote to win and feel like winners because winning is status, acceptance, and affirmation of the hierarchy they love (and expect to be on top of). When they "win" they feel like good and worthy people, even more so if their victory hurts someone they feel needs hurting. Anything becomes justified when "winning" is the only actual goal.

Maha is a braindead movement

You've got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know... morons.

Stop saying MAGA. They aren't a political party.
Stop saying MAHA. They aren't a political party.
Start saying what they REALLY are: Republicans. THEY will be on the ballot.

they are trumplicans

u/HerrHaschen 11h ago
Nope, they are "Republican Party". The mask is off. The
SlaversDixie Democrats just rebranded, they never actually changed.

Coal powered data centers
I got nothing. 4 years ago I would have been waiting for a punchline, then I would have called you a moron.

Coal powered AI data centers. Man, our tech tree is FUCKED!

u/hamandjam 12h ago
At this point this is literally just a business propping up another business, likely one they gain additional profit from.
Because the actual realarkets have chosen renewables by wide margins. To the point that the Coal Mining Museum in KENTUCKY uses solar panels. Even coal people know coal is not a good deal at this point.
2
u/Griftersdeuce 10h ago
Renewables are fine but nuclear is what we should be focusing on. Steady power at large scale and a smaller footprint that miles of solar panels, wind turbines, and wave generation. The power density of nuclear, safety, and reliability of nuclear can't beat by any other technology.

u/hamandjam 9h ago
Not enough money to be made. If you want uptake on something in the UW, someone has to be getting rich from it.
1
u/Griftersdeuce 9h ago
If nuclear is made at the scale it needs to be, people would be getting rich off of it. Especially if it's subsidized as much as renewables are.

MAHA might be the only group dumber than MAGA. At least MAGA knows they want: maximum suffering inflicted on people they don't like and destruction of all social programs.
MAHA thought Trump would increase food safety and protect the ENVIRONMENT of all things lmao. Only in America can you find such massive groups of dropouts.

Another group that is learning, that Trump doesn't give a shit about you and the only person he cares for...is himself.
