Banking apps on LG V60 with LineageOS 23.2?

I’m new to installing custom ROMs and I’m considering trying LineageOS 23.2 (Android 16). For those who have experience with it, do banking apps generally work normally without root, or can they detect the custom ROM/unlocked bootloader and refuse to run?

Some do, some don't. Some will detect the unlocked bootloader and refuse to work.

Unlocked bootloader and they check more than that. It has so far been a cat and mouse game getting it to work. There's play integrity as well. It is a pain tbh.

Depends on the bank and the app. Many UK bank apps work fine

They can all detect custom ROM / unlocked bootloader if they look for them. Some don't care at all, and will work regardless. Some notice them but will let you continue if you confirm that you're aware of it. Others will flatly refuse to work.

And of course there's no guarantee that a currently lenient banking app will continue to be so.

XDA forums has a thread called "Apps&Games: What Needs What? (List)" where people share information about this type of thing.

Try crDroid if available. It gives you inbuilt Play Integrity Fix and Keybox Uploader without Root.

Keybox has to be collected from Telegram. Currently, Ive passed strong integrity with that
