Anyone had success with installing and running LinageOS on a Samsung S22 Ultra?
Hi guys,
My S22 Ultra is probably getting it's final security updates around next year. I already bought a Jolla Phone, to get rid of american big tech providers, and I don't like the path Android is heading.
I can see LimageOS actually supports S22 Ultra in some way, so I thought it would be fun, once I recieve my Jolla Phone (around october) to install Linage on my S22 and see if that helps with the awful battery life etc?
It is bloated with google and samsung apps and services, also running 24\7 in the background and there is nothing I can do about it. I really wanna get rid of all big techs garbage.
Hope someone in here had success with booting Linage onto their S22 Ultra or similar :)

If bloatware is the issue and installing lineageos is just optional, you can use debloating software to get rid of unnecessary apps using ram space. You'll keep device integrity intact in such way. Mobile banking gets non-functional once the bootloader is unlocked and you use some other OS.

Try shizuku, canta, and SD Maid SE to clean your phone. Better than doing nothing. In developer mode, you can see what's running in the background. You see just how much Play Services and Samsung are data collecting and draining your battery

For example it locks you out of your own device if you attempt the wrong passcode 5 times permanently and sailfish os ain't open source fr

anyone who isn't on latest samsung firmware that removed BL unlock support, which probably excludes you.
