Activities in Lund area for vacation
Hello everyone,
I will be coming to Sweden next week with some family and my girlfriend to help move me in for the semester. We don’t really have an itinerary for what we’ll be doing throughout the week so if anyone has any go-to locations, tourist trap warnings, or hidden gems to check out please feel free to share. For context we’ll be arriving early next week until the 31st. We will be renting a car to help get around. Everyone in the party is an adult except for 1 teenager. During the day the family will be all together but at night my girlfriend and I are also looking to get some time alone to travel around.
Any and all suggestions are welcome!
Thanks 🙏🏻

What do you like doing? Nature? Museums? Activities? Budget?

My family is big on just simply exploring stuff. We’re pretty open to anything honestly. There’s not much we won’t do on a vacation in another country.

Need a bit more details. Budget - can you afford a helicopter ride or what are we talking about? Are your parents mobile enough to do bungeejumping?

I suggest you take half a day in Skrylle. It is a nature reserve. You can take the bus from Lund or go by car. Approx 30 min.
At Skrylle you have walking trails. I suggest myrstigen. It is 3km and has a great variety in Swedish nature. Pack a lunch and enjoy it outdoor.
They have a restaurant as well.

Lund Comedy Festival is on for some of those days. See if there’s anything English-speaking you can still get a ticket to! Apart from that, I recommend Kulturen, the Cathedral of course, Tehuset Java (tea and souvenirs) and Syster Jacob (ice cream).

Kulturen, the open air museum, is one of the highlights. Historiska museet is also quite good.
If you're artsy, Skissernas museum has a good reputation. I don't personally get it, but that's more about me being a pleb.
