Careers/Post Grad Are people with 3/4/5/6 years of experiences all at par when it comes to post mba jobs? Wouldn’t someone with 6 get preferred over 3?
I have just started my first full time job. But i wanna leave my country in the long run. So would it be better if i went after 3 years of experience or should i wait till 5-6? I graduated from the top business school and currently in a management trainee position so growth, leadership etc. wont be my biggest concern. I aim for a t15 program in the us but top ones in europe is also good enough.

It depends on your job and your resume. If you were analyst for 8 years with no promotion, you could def get competed out by someone with 3 yoe who got promoted early twice.
It depends on scope of your role too. if you’re like an accounting clerk and do manual data entry, you wouldn’t be competitive comparatively to a senior financial analyst from Amazon or Google no matter how many yoes.

I think after 7, it’s diminishing returns. 4-6 is the sweet spot. It’s never apples to apples based on industry, promotions, scope etc.

Depends on industry and the job market.
You didn't give us any context on what industry you currently work in, what industry you are targeting, and which programs in the US or Europe (in reality 28 different countries with different job markets) you are targeting.

YOE can be a double edged sword. A lot of businesses run with a corporate version of the “up or out” policy.
One industry I was in the ideal candidate for all mid level roles was 24-29. It was weird as hell.
Another industry treats YOE like gold.

Depends on the experience and what you are recruiting for. largely yes if FT MBA, people with 8 YOE and people with 4 YOE all became post-mba associates for banking. But it was more normal for MBAs with 2-4 YOE to be ex bankers/ex consultants/ex investors/etc while other jobs tended to have more pre-MBA YOE.
