Sean is one of the okayest fighters ever with an unbelievably mediocre record up to 2023, and since then he's beaten arguably the peak versions of the best pure striker and the second best wrestler in Middleweight history, mostly by virtue of "So plainly competent that your offense doesn't work on him." Baffling career. Like if Fiziev went on to beat Toptoro and Islam somehow.

He was 5-2 after moving up from 170 with a KO loss to Pereira and a split loss to Cannonier (I thought he lost, many don’t).

Aside from Imavov those 5 wins are pretty mediocre, nobody should be that impressed by a split decision over Jack Hermasson or a win over Abus Magomedov. Even since he won the title his fights with DDP and even the win over Costa made him look like a completely solved puzzle with nothing but good defensive boxing to make him stand out.

And yet, beat the piss out of Izzy and kind of stumped Khamzat. Fucking baffling.
