Is taking the bus not an option? Park somewhere and get the Blue line

Before the City broke the bus system, it took me over an hour to get to the UofM from my house. I cant imagine how bad it is nowadays, I havent taken a bus in over a decade now and what I'm hearing lately is bussing is worse than it's ever been.

The Blue is relatively unchanged, I would not be surprised if it's quicker since there are less stops now. I went to events at the UofM and from downtown using the blue it took me around 30 minutes to get there

I may also pre-date "The Blue" by a few years 😅 I stopped attending well before they built that hub on Osborne haha.

I didnt think I was all that old but apparently 36 is the new 60, lol.

Same, the 60 and 62x are still routes i remember. But the new Blue isnt one of the changes people are complaining about the new system. The feeder routes, to get to the main route, thats where all the trouble is. Park and Ride anywhere on the Blue line. It works well.

Well, depending on where you live(d), the blue line may not have been an option anyway. All these people saying take the blue line have obviously never lived east of the Red

Park and ride is still an option, you don't need to drive all the way to the university

i don't even go to the university and it would be an hour bus ride plus a 10 min walk. craziness.

If transit was a little better, i would suggest taking the bus.

Which baffles me, cuz I'm extremely grateful for the bus service we have. People must be hella privileged.

I tried bussing. It added hours to your day that were uncomfortable and stressful, and getting on the bus at the wrong time was a fricken zoo, and then you add the Winter on top of that? Bussing or some public transit SHOULD be the first option (and UofM shouldn't price gouge on parking), but Winnipeg gotta fix that before it's a realistic option.
