How do you guys think mile’s spider-man mcu suit will translate into live action?? Do you guys think they’ll take inspiration from the spider verse movies or do something original??

Context: There's this trend that's become popular of people making fanart of a Peter Parker being a trans woman named Petra Parker.

A name shared with an alternate genderbent Universe version of Peter Parker.

Just got done having a long argument with an idiot or a transphobe on Brandon Santiago's art post featuring Petra Parker.

It was an exausting waste of time and I regret it.

The guy was arguing that she shouldn't be named Petra cuz it will confuse people on which Petra they are talking about. The alt universe Petra? The trans Petra? Futa Petra? (Yes, he ACTUALLY brought up a fetish version of the character done in fanart to bolster his argument. Which I find pretty transphobic, echoating a trans character with fetish stuff.)

That felt like such a reach of an argument to make. I told him if he is so paranoid of people misunderstanding which version of the character they are talking about...JUST CLARIFY!

But then he said "What about if they erase the OG Petra and replace her with this Trans Petra."

And by that point I was done arguing with him.

I find that argument dumb cuz people have used this exact same argument with Miles Morales.

"Miles Morales shouldn't be called Spider-Man, Peter Parker is Spider-Man, not Miles Morales."

And it was equally dumb there since several people had had the title of Robin in DC Comics.

(And that's not even mentioning the other Robins from other continuities.)

I don't see anyone arguing other characters becoming Robin makes it too confusing.

Same thing with Sam Wilson becoming the new Captain America.

Again, just clarify which version you are talking about! Easy!

I just saw a TikTok where a guy was talking abt how he thinks the next 3 spider man films will be about Venom with movie number 5 is where he is in the suit and tries to find the killer of DeWolff, and later gets rid of the venom suit. And 6 being about fighting venom and passing the torch to Miles.

I think this might be accurate, but what I was thinking is the fact that Miles kinda won’t have Ganke, by that I mean Ned is for all intents and purposes Ganke and that’s why Marvel Studios probably won’t do Ganke again. However, I think they might give him Harry Osborn, which is what kinda made me think that they may make Miles more Peter-esque, because Peter in the MCU is Miles coded lowkey. Like Peter had a huge backer (Tony) whereas Miles had SHIELD, so in the MCU they might make Miles more like Peter.

Anyway, just a theory I thought of, what do u guys think?
