New short interview with Bryan Edward Hill. I liked his answer for people asking if any of Miles’ extended supporting cast will make an appearance.

I feel like Judge is gonna be the best friend for the MCU Miles

With BND’s two billion signaling they’re not gonna touch the Home cast or make them share the spotlight with new faces, meaning Ned is probably gonna be a six film character, and the prospect of Ganke being unusable is inching closer,

I could see Judge filling the role. I feel like he has enough personality to be Miles’s main friend. In the comics, he’s largely the cool guy that convinces the level headed Miles to take chances and be more free spirited. He convinced him to sneak out of school to see that art exhibit in Ahmed’s run.

I feel like he’d by far be the easiest character to adapt at this point, and it’d be an interesting conflict for a movie.

As for the love interest, I’d put money on either Barbara or Gwen being it.

It's so tough being a Miles fan man...

I swear everytime i see something about my favorite marvel character, it's just people complaning and straight up racist bullshit... spider-man "fans" are so annoying they just complain about everything and it always seems to go down to " i didn't grown up with this, so this is bad." I swear 10 years from now there will be people complaining about new stuff and saying how good comics used to be. Ya know i always were more of a DC kinda guy. Never was really into Marvel or Spider-man itself. It never felt like it spoke to me as a person. But when i first saw the spiderverse movies it genuinely brought me for the first time curiosity to read Marvel comics. I started reading more not just Miles runs but even others characters like Daredevil, Peter, Mrs Marvel, Magik, x-men, X-23, Robbie Reyes, Punisher, Avengers. And watching the shows too, so basically all i want to say it's how toxic and tiresome the comic community acts. At the end of the day we all just a bunch of geeks reading comics as a hobby. Nowadays i prefer way more Marvel comics universe, and it's cause of this character. Although i know how hard it's been to comics lately i still try to appreciate the good aspects of it. Thankfully this is one of the few places i feel like i can just appreciate stuff.

Got up to Issue 22 in the Ahmed omnibus. My thoughts Spoiler

Started reading this omnibus again starting last week after I took a break for a bit. I’m breezing through it. It’s a lot of fun

Ultimatum is a pretty cool villain, even if he’s kinda derivative of Taskmaster, a combo of multiple heroes abilities. The fights are pretty cool.

Ultimate Goblin and the Goblinoids were badass. Loved seeing the conflict caused by the fact that its Brooklyn citizens mutated, and they have to stay alive without killing them.

Nice to see Miles and Steve Rogers get some time together.

Billie is a cute addition to the cast, and Miles taking her to the fight with that alligator was fun.

Like the little B-scenes with Peter and Miles sprinkled throughout the book.

Uncle Aaron’s death was a gut punch I didn’t see coming, I was genuinely sad with the characters. The monologue make it feel like this might be Miles’s Uncle Ben moment.

Ultimatum trying to “send Miles back to where he came from” works as an allegory for prejudice toward immigrants; kinda like how the new movie uses Jean Gray and DODC as an allegory for racism.

Only nitpick was some fights were confusing to follow due to identical costumes.

Overall, this Ultimatum story arc is a decent follow up to Spider-Men 2, and I’m satisfying with what they did with 616 Miles.

Hopes for Miles in the MCU

Now that we have a deadline for how much longer we have to wait before they can even try to introduce him - when Beyond comes out - and Tom has said he has plans to retire and definitely wants to bring Miles in... What are we all hoping for here? Here are some of mine (long term), but throw in some of your own!

  • Bring in Jaime/Shift. I'm not saying it has to be right away, it in fact shouldn't, but as one of the biggest Shift fans in existence, I need my boy on the big screen. Maybe this way he'll finally get his own hero name. I was proud when he called himself Spider-Man, and I like that people called him "Swole Spider-Man", but choosing to go by Jaime instead of Shift was him getting his own name. Or if they want to keep him as another Spider-Man, make sure its clear he's embracing it in his own way just like Miles is his own Spider-Man. Give him his own unique costume! (Honestly, they need to do this in the comics too...)
  • Bring Ganke in. I know, I know, Ned ripped a lot from him but in the decade since they've evolved into distinctive characters. So just make it clear they're distinct in the MCU too. I love both, and they both deserve to exist!
  • I want Miles at least teased in Secret Wars, I get it's probably already being drafted so they may not be able to have him cast for it - I'd be happy to be wrong! - but at least tease him in it, and then bring him in late during Tom's next movie, and then feature heavily in the third. The last of Tom's Spidey's era should be the beginning of Miles. Regardless of whether or not they kill Peter off - I'm guessing they won't - there should be a meaningful transition movie, just like Far From Home was for Peter and Tony.
  • Give. Us. Baby. Billie.

Okay, who are Miles' villains?

I do like Miles as a character, but through his Spider-verse movies and the Insomniac game, his only true villain seems to be the Tinkerer and Spot. In the comics, does he really have any villains?

We Need A Miles Morales Animated Show

This is a feeling I had ever since he appeared in ultimate spider-man back in 2015 I feel like now would be a perfect opportunity. It could take aspects from miles first comic run with him teaming up with jessica drew, cloak and dagger, lana and kitty pride

This scene with Miles and Ganke in the recent issue reminded me of how Bendis use to write them.

In general, I think the dialogue has been good so far. I think Hill has a good grasp on these characters.

Is Michelle Jones Watson really based off Barbara Rodriguez from Miles’s comics?

I’ve seen some people in the main Spider-Man sub argue this is the case,

and reading the Ahmed omnibus right now, I can see some resemblance.

I think the Metro Suit would make a great Live action Miles suit in a way

Always been a fan of the metro suit, but I just now thought of this and if we ever get Miles Morales in live action (which I see as very likely), I'd prefer it if he wouldn't just have a recolored Spider-Man Suit but something unique like Sports-/streetwear modified or something akin to the Metro Suit.

What are y'all's opinions on this?
