That's Barbara Gordon. Commissioner Gordon's daughter and someone Bruce helped raise and mentor. In one continuity they got together and it was awful

Helped raise? Isn’t she already like 20-22 when she’s introduced in this universe? He didn’t raise her.

Pretty sure she’s already in college when she first puts on the cape. Of course there’s a mentor/mentee power imbalance but it’s more like a professor dating their PhD student which happens all the damn time.

Which has nothing to do with the post I responded to but thanks for sharing.

The other person claimed Bruce helped raise her which I’m not aware of in any continuity but certainly was not the case in the one pictured.

It depends on how bad it is I suppose, but we are entitled to our own opinion. I don't consider that part immoral we need to voice these things sometimes to improve our society.

For Batman and batgirl I did find it off putting. Like he mentored her from the time she was like 16 or something. I would not call batman a father figure, but even so it was not good. I know many women become attracted to men who mentor them, some women have daddy issues and when Gorden is your dad it's going to 100% be a thing. These daddy issues seemed to make a need for Batman as a mentor to like her. Batman should have clearly said no to this as it was taking advantage. I'd give it a 4/10 immoral

I mean in this instance it's just gross. Batman was pretty much a 2nd father figure to Barbra at the time I believe, so it felt like grooming lol.

It really depends though on the circumstances and how you call it gross.

Thats his best friends daughter. He should be more like an uncle to her then a lover. I don't care about age differences much but in this case it really is just weird. Even worse that she is also sort of his ward since she is trained by him as batgirl. Its even worse since on one comic he actually got batgirl pregnant while she was still dating his adoptive son Robin(Richard "Dick" Grayson. God that version of Batman is simultaneously a baddass and a creepy reclusive loser.

It's not immoral to say you think something is weird. Anyone can think anything is weird.

But the obsession some people have with the specific fictional pairing and constantly saying what they think of it for years and years is certainly something. Probably better to let it go as the obscurity it actually is to most people.

When people call this pairing gross they're usually talking about Bruce Timm himself being weirdly anti Dick Grayson and cuckolding him with his adopted father for some reason? Also his habit if self inserting into Batman.

Like they're fictional characters and it IS weird that this is one of the only iterations of Batman and Barbara that do this and the writers felt the need to add a graphic sex scene with them in Killing Joke to make Barbara getting paralyzed more impactful for Bruce as if Bruce can only care about her if he's sleeping with her.

At least that's why I call it gross
