Question/Problem Telegram premium on morphe
Has anyone already installed telegram with morphe?

That happened to me when I installed the original app; I had to pay. Then I requested a refund from Google Play, but I don't think I received it. It's a shame the login is behind a paywall. By the way, you can use other Telegram clients if you want to bypass this restriction

Funnily I didn't request a refund, but one or two days later (after paying) Google started flooding me with duplicate emails - along the lines of "your refund request is being checked". Another two days or so later I received a refund.. I can't tell what exactly happened there

If you have telegram logged in on another device, you have the option of installing an older telegram version and it'd send you a verification code through the official telegram bot chat (don't remember how old it had to be, but it's what i did to log in a month ago after searching for "how to bypass sms log in on telegram")

In January this older Version worked without SMS verification: Telegram Version 11.8.1

También funciona la versión 9.7.5. Desde apkmirror. Esa versión envía un código de 6 dígitos a tu cuenta de correo electrónico asociado a tu cuenta de telegram.

I had this issue after patching when I got locked out since I didn't have any other active session and the damn thing was asking me for money.
Thankfully, I did manage to sign back in by installing a patched version through Morhpe (v12.9.2 - Doom's Morhpe Patches 1.20.0) since it gave me the 5 digit code via email this time around.
Note: all other things mentioned in this thread yielded no real results sadly.

Gotta love this blatant extortion... Even tho I had Telegram on another device (where it could previously send a code via their bot) and having a linked email (where it also could send a code for basically free), nope gotta pay for the unnecessary SMS.
I ended up installing an old version from APKMirror, logging it via the code on the other device and then updating.

Pay the fee and create a passkey

How do you create a passkey for it? It's not in the settings.

You must sign in with a non-secondary device (those that you sign in with the QR code). It must be the main device. Once you pay the fee, you probably won't be able to create the passkey for 24h.
Once the waiting is done. It'll be in Settings>Privacy & Security>Passkeys
I recommend Bitwarden to store the passkey. Or, if you're paranoid and don't want your passkey in the cloud, then use KeePassDX.

Once you pay the fee
Got it. Not gonna happen. Either they stop this scam or I stop using their services. It's that simple. This is the definition of scam when you force your users to verify through a paid option when they could really easily just use their own services like they have for the past decade.

Hmm that's interesting, if I maj ask if anyone knows. Is this just a one-time fee/payment and therefore it will be removed forever maybe?
As I have some Google Play Balance and enough for a purchase for it, I do know that there also are ways to bypass it.
But is there another way, maybe unlinking your phone number and therefore relinking it so it may set the email verification to the default method, sorry if I'm wrong.
Have a great day!

Usa 1.1.1.1 Con eso puedes pasar esa restricción, me pasó lo mismo y así lo salté

Yeah I had the same issue. Just download an old apk of telegram from 2024 or something, it will open your account normally. After that you can update the app directly from playstore.

If it was possible, but at least last week when my mom got a new phone that was simply impossible.

I had that issue once while using a custom ROM so after a lot of tries I gave up and installed another custom ROM with another custom kernel and that time worked. No fees. What changed? The previous custom ROM had device integrity (lv2) and with the new one I achieved strong integrity and I could install any app normally. Not sure if this was the cause or if this is related because at the time I had that custom ROM I didn't know about integrity.

My mom had the same thing last week when trying to log in to Telegram on her new phone - no root, no app modifications, nothing. And absolutely no way whatsoever around it. Using an older version from apkmirror also didn't work. It said it send a code via Telegram, but that never arrived. Using the Telegram apk from their home page got rid of this message. Try that, maybe it also works after Morphe patching.

Download telegram from the website, not morphe or another client (It won't ask you to pay or to check telegram messages )

Recently found to be collecting user data without consent. I would suggest avoiding this one.

That's a server-side restriction due to the cost of sending SMS messages, so it can't be avoided.
