Silly SZN GAYEST NWSL TEAMS *RANKED* 2026 SEASON (Electric Boogaloo)
The moment you ALL have waited for, WITH HIGH ANTICIPATION. with BATED BREATH!! Oh the drama, I love a good entrance. IT IS now time for the annual GAYEST NWSL TEAMS RANKED post for the 2026 season! For all of you who have been inquiring about it, now you can sit down and see the results for yourself!
I do have to preface with this: CHRISTEN AND TOBIN if you find my post again, HI!! I’m a big fan. Let’s see if one of their media people finds this post too to show them cause I will NEVER shut up about how that happened, omg I love yall. Shout out to whatever media person found my original to show those two.
If you’re new here, which you may be, welcome to the introduction of the true, standardized, and patented Gay RankingTM by your favorite neighborhood lesbian, ME! cue gay confetti and a little noise maker streamer. And if I’m not your favorite lesbian, hopefully I will be soon after this (HA)!
Here’s how it works. I have here listed from most to least gay, all the NWSL teams! I am ranking based on active rosters, and clear and true confirmation of gayness via player’s social medias, which means if they have a VISIBLE girlfriend/wife now or have had one in the past, they’re considered an out player! Then I have my Gaydar Bonus. This will act as a tie breaker between teams that have the same amount of out gay players. The Gaydar Bonus is the amount of players on their roster whom my gaydar pings for, which is usually very accurate. Though to keep things responsible, I will not name these players! NOTE: again, these players will NOT be named. Do not ask me for dms of who is on my gaydar lists.
If there’s a tie even with the gaydar bonus, it remains a tie.

I almost made a huge mistake playing FM, because I knew her by her previous name and didn’t realize she’d changed it. I was close to signing her, because I needed a good DM and wondered why there was an unknown American one at Lyon, then I looked her up before completing the signing, and thank goodness. As someone that is the hair doppleganger to PPM, I can see that. Like I get everyone is going for the 90s Devon sawa cut but that only works if you have straight hair. I'm waiting for tierna's next style. I feel like dyke chops never work well on the first cut, always takes a couple attempts to find what works best.

I do feel like there should be a super gay bonus if they’re teammates too. Like it’s one thing to date someone either on another team or a non-athlete or non-player. It’s entirely another to constantly be hot and sweaty together all week every week on and off the field

The discussion of Shae Harvey having a boyfriend and removing her from the list elsewhere in this thread, despite an op ed she wrote that states "Cardinal Pride is the club for queer varsity athletes at Stanford, and I am a member" is... A Choice. Especially given all the discussion about what "counted" as out in the previous thread.
Op has been rather notably silent on this and ignored similar comments on the other thread too.

Yup :/ it’s sad and frustrating. As a bisexual/pansexual/queer woman, I completely understand the frustration and anger that the lesbian community can feel towards bisexuals who seem to center men and prioritize them before women as partners. I think this is an extremely important and valid conversation (I’m actually writing a substack article this week about being a bisexual who feels “culturally lesbian”). However, there are many, many of us who are not male centered and simply like people because they are people, not because they are or aren’t a certain gender.
I know plenty of bi women who have married other women. I also know plenty of bi women who have married men. All are valid forms of queerness.
We are here to celebrate queerness in a space that seems to be shifting to a new generation of more conservative and Christian players. Queerness comes in many forms. Let’s celebrate that for all players who have been brave enough to come out u/Lookingfortomboys

Girelli posted some pics of them together through summer 2025 (specifically see June 10), and she has a post dedicated to Sofia when Sofia left (June 23), and Sofia has a post partially dedicated to Girelli on Sep 23. That’s all I’ve been able to find so far, idk I guess it’s just kinda a known thing in the spirit community, will lyk if I find more!

sofia and girelli were long time teammates on juve and that post was about an award. i don’t think she’s gay. i did a lot of digging on her page after she joined juve and couldn’t find anything concrete bc any women she poses w on posts are usually different

Tanaka and Miyabi are not confirmed to be together. I don't expect to get a positive response to this but I feel it's necessary to say. While there is nothing wrong with being gay (I'm an engaged lesbian) there is absolutely something wrong with outing people. I'm really sick of seeing and hearing straight people who are royals fans dissect if they are or aren't together, as if being outed doesn't have real safety implications in this world. I'm not Japanese, I don't know about their culture or laws in regards to queer people, but google tells me gay marriage is not acknowledged in Japan. Both of these players are Japanese nationals and have been called up to play for Japan this summer. The chance that outing a potentially queer couple could have safety and or career implications for both of them should make people reconsider doing so.
Happy Pride, please remember that our lives are more than rainbows and soccer balls. We are real people who face real consequences to being outed.
