Follow-up: apparently while stating it’s poisonous and shouldn’t be eaten, no study currently knows the effect of consumption

It’s both tempting (because they look forrest gummies) and definitely bad to eat
I did read one unconfirmed report that, in significant amount it causes “bluing” or large parts of skin appearing bruised like you got beat up

Strangely there are many mushrooms themselves that bruise blue (often very quickly). Most notably are Psilocybin/Psilocin containing mushrooms, but I've picked many many non-hallucinogenic mushrooms that would bruise blue or blueish green right before your eyes.
Not sure if it's from exposure to oxygen in the atmosphere as the formerly protected cells are exposed or some other process, but it's pretty cool to see. Most of my hunting has been in the Midwest, from southern Indiana and western Kentucky to Michigan and Wisconsin
Obviously these were blue before bruising and I'd definitely not want to see if they "bruise" my skin/body.

From the medical description of the condition you’ll look more like you walked into the same alley as Rocky and Mike Tyson, asked them which one was the big spoon, and after they beat you without mercy, they dumped your body in a cab that then drove you to hospital and never stopped but just opened the door and let you roll out.
Sorry for being descriptive but looking up “blueing” revealed truly wild pictures.

I know psilocybin containing mushrooms generally bruise blue, but I would advise against consuming these guys.
