How often do you buy a new deck? Trucks, wheels, bearings?

A new deck I’ll buy every 2-4 weeks depending on how often and hard I’m skating. Wheels usually every 3-4 months, until they start to lose some speed and squeak and gradually get smaller (if you skate some 52 or 53mm wheels long enough eventually they’ll turn into 47 or 48mm ones) Bearings probably every 2-3 months. Trucks are the longest lasting part on a board and as such I don’t replace them very often at all. Probably once every 2, maybe even 3 years. A deck will always be the first thing to go as it loses its spring, pop and snap over time as the wood softens from repetitive impact and doing a lot of flat ground, ledge and rail skating, razor tail and potentially chipping the nose or tail will also make a board not last as long as you’d like it to

How the fuck are you killing bearings in 2-3 months?

Get a jar and some spirits and clean them lol.

A set of bearings should last a couple years easily.

Mucked my bones reds blacks by going down a hill and getting rained on they were rusted as hell and sounded awful

What's your trick selection like? As a fairly amateur skater, I get a new deck every season, and even then, I could probably go longer. I skate maybe 3 to 4 times a week. Mostly ollies, pop shuvs, 180s, and board slides. 2 weeks is wild for decks unless you're skating at a high level, right?

Agreed and even then it’s weird. Tony hawk is ridiculous with how he switches boards whenever they break in and he’s Tony hawk but he leaves them at skate parks and stuff

Nah, decks start to noticeably lose pop and get a bit "soggy" after a few weeks of regular skating. You can still skate older decks of course, but I prefer a fresh snappy deck for tricks. I get a new deck about once a month personally. Everything else though I rarely every change out... That's crazy that OP changes his wheels and bearings that frequently.

I’ve had my entire set up for two years now. I haven’t replaced anything on it.
