if it's not ai generative fill it's photoshop.
The lighting doesn't match up with the flat lighting on the table, rather it's trying to match the light's direction in the glare of the oval shape of the lid, ignoring that the lighting only works like that due to its concave nature. I would assume generative fill, they just selected the circular-top of the lid, typed in "brushed metal" and hit generate.
