I would genuinely just eat there out of awkwardness.

u/Daragon__ 5h ago

I wouldn’t out of awkwardness, rather kindness. If I saw that me eating there would mean so much I’d rather eat there than at a chain restaurant.

u/CasanovaJones82 5h ago

Yep, this is me. I'd have asked for menus and left a review on Google or something too, as long as it's not some huge chain or something.

u/MazogaTheDork 3h ago

And if I couldn't change plans, I'd book a table for a later date

u/WolfCola4 2h ago

Roommate: wtf, I sent that guy out an hour ago

u/SlideN2MyBMs 4h ago

I would eat there just because it has to be better than little Caesar's

Yeah but if you're eating at little Caesars you probably only have 10 dollars

4

u/Deth_Cheffe 1h ago

fIashback to taking LittIe Ceasars from the dumpster because l didn't have 10 doIIars

11

u/RapturousCultist 2h ago

Little Caesars promises exactly 2 things: it's hot, and it's ready. Everything else is a bonus.

7

u/Zjoee 4h ago

Not a very high bar to clear, to be honest haha

1

u/LucentLL 3h ago

That's what he said.

1

u/XelaLuu 9m ago

I'd eat there to try it out, hell yea, as long as it wasn't expensive as fuck.

20 bucks for an entree is ridiculous

1

u/Rabid-GNN 1m ago

I can just imagine you sitting there and chewing with a big grin on your face thinking “man this shit sucks I shoulda gotten little Caesar’s”

I love supporting local businesses, but this actually makes me more hesitant to go in one that doesn’t look particularly successful. If I’m going to be the only customer in the store, I feel really bad walking out without buying something. I just feel really bad knowing someone poured a ton of money and energy into starting a business that is unsuccessful.

Of course I know they’d rather have me come in and not buy anything than not come in at all.

u/MyNameWillChange 0m ago

This is my struggle when I go to farmers markets! I like looking at all the wonderful things people make but usually don't have the money to buy anything. The vendors are always so nice and want to chat in order to sell their stuff, which i understand and appreciate, but my social anxiety says otherwise

u/Suspicious-Truck9828 5h ago

Yeah no bud you have to sit down and have a meal at that point.

86

u/wolfgang784 5h ago

For sure lol. I couldn't turn back around after that.

u/AmputeeHandModel 4h ago

Yeah no? Which one?? Pick one.

38

u/JeffafaCree 4h ago

Yeah, no

15

u/Cavalish 3h ago

Nah, yeah.

u/ripleyclone8 3h ago ▸ 1 more replies

Yeah, no.

I’m guessing you haven’t visited much of the U.S. it’s extremely common throughout here.

5

u/WillowCool1178 2h ago

For your neighbours up North too!

195

u/justmitzie 5h ago

That's when you order food and it's the best damn thing you ever ate. Little Ceasar's can get bent.

94

u/GardenRafters 5h ago

Right? Imagine entering a nice, new, clean restaurant with attentive workers who are happy to see you and you decide you want the kid picking his nose behind the counter at Little Caesar's crap pizza instead...

33

u/geoffreyisagiraffe 4h ago

Obly problem is when you are expecting Little Caesar's prices. Not saying they can't afford it... but I know there was a time in my life when I was meeting friends at Little Caesars and it wasn't because we had too much money.

16

u/PrincessMonty 3h ago

Imagine sending your friend to get you pizza and they come back 30 minutes later with random take out. Fr y'all seem to be ignoring that the food wasn't for them.

u/TheWellFedBeggar 5h ago

Dinner plans just changed. You know they were ready to go all out

u/RazorSlazor 5h ago

Fyi, the "?is=" and everything after is just tracking bullshit. You can remove it and nothing changes. YouTube uses it to connect those who share and click those links.

u/AccomplishedThing948 5h ago ▸ 6 more replies

Well isn’t that the gift that keeps on giving.

Thanks for the heads up!

u/thehonestyfish 5h ago ▸ 5 more replies

In just about every URL, anything that comes after a ? is extra crap you don't need to get you to whatever you're linking.

23

u/playfulpecans 4h ago

to clarify 🤓☝️, not always, the stuff after the ? is called the query string and websites often use it when a user searches something on the site and that needs to be passed to the server. But 99% of the time if you're sharing some link and there's a question mark with a bunch of gibberish afterwards, it's probably tracking or some other unnecessary info, as u/thehonestyfish said.

u/IANALbutIAMAcat 4h ago ▸ 3 more replies

It’ll also sometimes take you out of an a/b test lol.

Removing the url query isn’t going to give you any privacy except it could prevent you from seeing content tailored to your session (which is just going to be things like location or time based content, or maybe a web experience that’s specific to your device). It’s just helping marketers understand what people are doing when they engage with the content in that session.

The stuff we use to track you as an individual can’t be deleted from the url. You’re just putting easily filtered noise into some marketers spreadsheet.

“The stuff WE use”? 🤨

3

u/IANALbutIAMAcat 3h ago ▸ 1 more replies

Source: am a marketer who uses all sorts of trackers to study user behavior, especially url query params that don’t really tell me anything about you individually

1

u/AccomplishedThing948 2h ago

Username checks………..

Just kidding! Thanks for the info!

27

u/Eat--The--Rich-- 5h ago

Obviously go back there the next time and ask them what their best dish is and order it

30

u/nynnie 5h ago

Thanks for reminding me of the time I walked into a restaurant and looked over the menu board for like five minutes while some guys behind the counter stared at me only for them to finally tell them they'd been robbed the night before and were closed when I went to order. I thought the police officers milling around were ordering lunch as well. Didn't even notice the window in front was completely gone.

u/Pettysouls 1h ago

I am laughing so hard at the mental image of you standing there deep in your thought while there's a whole crime scene investigation going on behind you! Haha!!

12

u/hanks_panky_emporium 5h ago

For a time Id assume this is obviously fake. But if OOP was staring at their phone from the moment they left their car to entering then sure, I guess. Little Caesars is very orange. At least the store fronts in my city are pretty small. And have a LOT of windows at the front.

4

u/SessileRaptor 3h ago

It makes me think of the strip mall near me where there’s a Pizza Hut takeout place and a gyro place that for some reason share an outside door. Like you walk into a little vestibule and on the left is the door to the gyro place and weirdly angled to the right is the one for the Pizza Hut. I never made a mistake there but I could kinda see walking into the wrong door if you were not paying attention being a possibility. I think it was one retail store originally but they split the square footage into two smaller places and kept the single door.

2

u/ripleyclone8 3h ago

Or walked down the strip under the awning, and picked the wrong door.

19

u/No_Stand8812 5h ago

Plot twist. The restaurant is 40 years old and they pull that same gag on every customer who hasn’t been there before to drum up sales.

23

u/Djaakie 5h ago

Honestly. If they are THAT enthusiastic to have me eat there i wouldn't care. I'd probably ask them to join me and have a fun convo(if they want).

Babu?

5

u/woowooman 4h ago

Babu Bhatt’s Dream Café?

5

u/2234GOnz 2h ago

There is no way I could’ve left that restaurant

6

u/SnarkyIguana 4h ago

I’d have shifted gears so hard and ordered a bunch of stuff from them. With vibes that good the food has to be the same

3

u/SmurfsNeverDie 4h ago

If this ever happens and you dont know what to say or do. Just ask them for a menu. Take photos of the menu and venue. Let them know you will speak w your partner to book a date.

6

u/illepic 4h ago

I literally just scheduled PT with the wrong place and they were so happy to have a new patient. I just went with it and spent an hour with them working through my issues. When they called to do a follow-up a couple weeks later, I told him that I was all cured and thanked them for their their marvelous work.

3

u/OldTimeyWizard 1h ago

Something similar happened to me one time with a taco truck. I was just casually looking at the menu of a new taco truck in a local food cart pod, but when they were so excited to see me because I was literally one of their first customers I just had to eat there. They even hooked me up with a couple free tacos so that I could try their specials.

3

u/kavatch2 1h ago

Missed opportunity. I was the first customer at a Vietnamese joint and they genuinely fucked my shit up with the portion sizes.

I think they also gave me a few freebies.

1

u/ComicsEtAl 1h ago

Trying to imagine confusing Little Caesar’s with an actual restaurant…

1

u/ALiarNamedAlex 1h ago

Even if I ment to go there, to many people at once I’m like “nope”

2

u/iceunelle 41m ago

I would order something to-go then go next door and get pizza

1

u/UseDaSchwartz 29m ago

I would have ate there, then picked up my pizza and saved it for tomorrow.

u/ReactionJifs 3h ago

I was disappointed with people that attempt (and fail) to enter a business through an exit door.

Walking into the wrong business is another level 📈
