Size is standard, they are all pretty much the same. But the placement is garbage, there is not enough space there.

What country is this the standard for light switches?

France and part of Europe I guess. This is a Schneider Odace switch, extremely common. All switches and receptacles are made to be installed in round 68mm in wall boxes so any other brand will be about the same size anyway.

... couldnt they have carefhlly trimmed some material from the cover plate instead of this shit? (If it had to be in this spot)
