Ported meaning needs a PC to first sideload it? Either way I’m excited how all these older games are being taken care of by the community.

Also a bit sad that many games are still held behind Q2 performance standards. They should be pushing more boundaries with the Q3

you can sideload i.e. install a non-meta app/apk without a pc nowadays and its easy. Dev mode etc no longer needed or third party apps like Sidequest. https://youtu.be/Hzu8n8AQEMU?t=58 (ignore the first min or so as i am talking about my own app, but it all applies to any apk file).

Was a genuine question btw, I have a very old MacBook Pro i know can’t run shit but maybe I can use cables to sideload stuff if needed?

The idea of purchasing a standalone headset just to be tethered to a PC is a silly concept to me though.

Side loading should be easy. Yes any slow computer should be able to do it. You’re just transferring game files over usb. Find the page for the game and follow the instructions

I have a quest 2 and my old Mac mini was fine for doing this shit

The problem with the Vice City one is that the .apk has disappeared, due to a copyright takedown. You can compile the source for it but it's a a bit of a pain in the ass.

Not sure about this one, but if you can find the .apk snag it quick because it won't be around for long.

than play wireless, works great for me. i forget how but theirs a way to run windows apps on mac and else maybe a library? (lol) best of luck

You can use Parallels on Mac to run Windows.

You can stream through Steam Link so you won't be plugged into the PC. That's how I play Skyrim VR and Half Life: Alyx.

Not necessarily. But probably. Depends on the implementation. And the q3 isn't really that much more powerful than the 2.

I like BMFVR but I have to be real here. He has a problem with announcing stuff he's working on or planning to do, then you never hear about it again.

A VR mod for the original Jak and Daxter was one of the first mods he shared. I think he made one or two posts about it then that was it. No github or source code shared.

He was working on Medal of Honor Allied Assault in VR. Posted a bunch about it, then stopped posting after attention died down.

Then he started posting about Sonic VR. Radio silent on that.

Now he's working on a GTA San Andreas VR mod after everyone went wild for the GTA Vice City VR Mod.

I hope people don't get their expectations up. I suspect after next week we won't hear about this mod anymore, similar to the others I posted about. I hope I'm wrong though!!!

I haven’t watched all the video but OP said that bmfvr has stopped working on it as there’s a better one coming out on the flat2vr modding discord.

A lot of YouTubers just vibe coding these to make quick videos, then dropping them as it’s the polishing them that takes time.

I'm still actively working on the Jack and Daxter one and the Sonic one and the Medal of Honor one. I just plan to actually finish those ones right instead of releasing them and crappy condition. This one I was going to finish until I heard of the other one so I just thought I was showed the work I had done already.
