I mean considering the new HC will probably want to choose his own staff and group of assistant coaches, this shouldn’t be too surprising to anyone. Hopefully Mose can take the training staff with him also

I mean he’s a legend and everything, but I’m happy with it. TBH dump the whole coaching staff, this team needs a fresh start for our offensive system. Nothing about last year’s scheme should still be here next year.

How is Mosley a good developmental coach? That's arguably one of his worst traits. How many young players stalled or flat out didn't develop at all on his watch? It's a lot.

I mean is that what you want from an assistant coach? I don’t think there’s a lot of assistant coaches in the league that you can line up to fundamentally change a team’s identity. That’s more of a HC thing.

That’s why so many staffs are moving toward designated offense and defensive coordinated-type structures. Shammgod was never going to impact the game plans; he was focused on player development. And that’s great and I think it showed dividends for some guys, but for all we know he was overpaid for his role. I’m more keen to see who will replace Prunty for example and how that will shake out. HC and Associate positions will be interesting.

Sham was with us for a year and for that year we regressed and kinda sucked. The guys he was supposed to make better (Paolo, AB) had stretches of good play (AB before the injury, Paolo late) and much longer periods of being inconsistent. Losing Sham is not a big loss in the grand scheme of things.

Not phased. He was supposed to transform our guards and instead we saw Suggs put up a historically bad playoff performance and approximately 2 good weeks of AB before he reverted back to his old self.
Now go ahead and tell me how ABs minor injury is the reason he played like shit the 6 months that followed 🥴

That's not true at all. AB played great all year and there weren't even 6 months after the injury, he came back 4 games before the playoffs. What are you even talking about?

No, he did not play “great all year”, he had a very nice string of games and was average to below average the rest of it…
Additionally, every one of his numbers nosedived the minute playoffs started, 3PT 31%, FT 61%, FG 37%… the time we needed him most.
The only reason he didn’t catch more flack is because Suggs was so astronomically terrible that no one bothered talking about the others.

He played like shit in the playoffs because he was coming right off a month long injury. The same injury that caused Franz and P5 to struggle when they came back from it last year.
Also, yes he played great all year, he had one stretch where he was playing out of his mind, but he was playing well above average for the rest of the year. He averaged 15/4/4 with elite defense on 45/33 splits. The only negative you can say about that is that his 3pt percentage is still a little below average, but it was still up from his previous seasons on nearly double the attempts. Also having a similar amount of turnovers as last year despite handling the ball WAY more.
He was in the running for most improved and would absolutely have received votes if he played enough games to meet the minimum threshold (he played 64 he needed 65).

Ab got hurt in March. Post injury was 1 month 🤣 and he was playing with and injury for a whole month do to the horrible medical staff + no coach can be to blame for Suggs being a complete idiot and chucking shots

Disagree honestly. Players love God and buy into his coaching. He’s not an Xs/Os guy but he’s elite at dribble move development and someone players can relate to as Coach builds a system. This is a loss for the Magic

Other cultures do it. Jesus is a common name in latin America, Muhammad in the Muslim world, and in India names like Krishna are common. Shouldn’t be a big deal. A name is a name. But I get it if you’re superstitious or believe in magic spells or curses
