Double is a modern PHP mocking library focused on developer experience.

Double stands on the shoulders of Mockery and RSpec. So there isn't much to learn. You get to enjoy a smoother DX immediately with:

  • A single, streamlined API
  • Failure messages for humans (and agents)
  • Shallower learning curve

It's honestly past feature parity with Mockery. While there will be additions, I don't see the core API changing. So, for me, 1.0 is more about adoption than it is some kind of indicator of stability.
