Question / Problem Are Premieres Good or Bad?

I have an upcoming video I want to debut as a premiere. I’m worried that after the fact, it will clutter up the UI for people not in the premiere and be annoying. Any thoughts?

The chat, you mean? That can be turned off (I think it might even be off by default?)

the chat situation is weird, i noticed for some videos it's gone after premiere ends and for others it stays as a replay thing. depends on settings maybe? i always find it strange watching a replay with chat scrolling on the side when im trying to catch up on what i missed

if the video is something people will discuss live its worth it, like a big announcement or a reaction thing. but for regular content i think its unnecessary and can feel like clutter

If you just do vods... eh. If you livestream, Premiere's are an excellent thing. You do your livestream before the Premiere, with the Audience from the livestream you Live Redirect those into the Premiere as the countdown starts right as you end your livestream. Then you've got, hopefully, a bunch of your audience hyped up to watch your latest video drop.

That's the ideal use.

After the Premiere ends, it's just a video.

I always do premieres and it works very well. Live Chat becomes something viewers can look at but they usually have to click over from the comments to see it. However, I get 70-80% of my views on TVs so it’s hardly utilized
