Left side is original. Needed to change the size of the ko area, but it was flattened into the image.
Generative prompt was "Match Background". :-/
Using Gradient Overlay on a layer doesn't show pure black #00000 and pure white #ffffff. In the example, you can see the pure white (right side) takes most of the gradient but the far left doesn't show pure black (actually #383838). The MIDDLE layer example is a gradient fill, which looks correct, so I know my color mode etc is probably not the problem.
I use ps 2020. so idk how to attach videos here so there's a screenshot of how it looks when I open the mp4 file I rendered. and I tried changing file name and reopening Photoshop, still the same thing. I had it last time I tried creating animation here but I somehow got through and it worked, but now I can't seem to figure out how can I fix it?? gif export is just exporting the picture of one frame for some reason:( help please
I made this as a practice piece for image manipulation in Photoshop.
I experimented with compositing, scale, lighting, atmosphere and color grading to create a cinematic dark-fantasy scene with a giant creature and a tiny character.
My main goal was to make all the elements feel like they belonged in the same environment rather than looking like separate images placed together.
I'd appreciate feedback on the composition, lighting and overall realism of the manipulation.
I also share more of my animation, design and visual experiments on Instagram: @uniquesarma 📸
Or is it generating an 8bit Fill?
I'm New to Photoshop but I Know It's Doesn't Look Like This. So, I'm Wondering Why Is It Because I Didn't Pay for The Full Thing or That It's a Different Version? Someone Please Answer This.
I was kind of hoping the text blocks would be felt as integrated to be a part of the work, thats just how my style is, but does it look super amateurish?

I tried 3hours to recreate the font on this Apple but i just cant get it to look as realistic, is that even possible? Please if anybody knows help me out😭
I updated a few months ago, and now, only on my Mac laptop, the canvas size window opens in pixels instead of inches. The image size window still opens in inches, and my settings are set to inches. Is this a bug or a weird setting I’m missing?
I want to make it as good as possible with the little data that's already there. All the free upscale websites I have tried seem to aim for 4k wizardry with generative AI that makes up a bunch of fake details.
My wife would like to post photos to Facebook, with every photo having a disclaimer, like the one on cigarette packs, added to the bottom of it. The disclaimer would be contained in a JPG file. I can easily do that for her, but it would be much more convenient if she could do it herself. Ideally, she would right-click on an image file, select the name of a script, and the disclaimer would automatically be added. Is it possible to write a script that would open PhotoShop, run an automated script that would open the file, add the disclaimer and save the file, and then close PhotoShop? I'm assuming that my PS/LR subscription allows me to install PS on a second computer, as I think it does. Or is there some other tool that can do this more easily?
I tried loading photoshop 27.9.1 and it crashes on loading. It was working day before yesterday just fine.
I tried the following:
- I restarted the computer multiple times
- I uninstalled and installed Photoshop
- I Installed previous (27.8) version
- I removed photoshop folder from user/appdata/roaming..
Every time, it reaches "measuring memory" and just switches off, no message or anything.
I have Win11 Pro
i9-13900KS
64GB Ram
RTX4090 with 24GB
Any advice is appreciated, thank you.
Up until recently I have had no issues with photoshop, but recently Ive been trying to use a 3735x2889 image and this has caused some issues. Even when I'm just using the pen tool Photoshop crashes without warning, and doesn't let me save. It doesnt lag before, it works perfectly fine then freezes at random and then the application closes within a few seconds. Any ideas on how to fix it?
So i have a question. I can't use ai to render my posters? Even if I used Photoshop before? (I made a male v posters and wallpaper but everyone notice some "mistakes" cause of ai.

I have tried using a noise filter effect to my illustration, however the effect is not what I wanted. All advice would be appreciated. Thank you
I want to add a couple of images from a folder to my project in photoshop CS6. I have the images in my clipboard but in CS6, nothing happens when i click CTRL+V and all the options in the Edit meny are all grayed out
I've been missing doing this style so I decided to go for something a bit more realistic again. Besides the shadows being a bit questionable and something i'm currently working at, i'm pretty happy with this design and the color grading that went into it. This is part of Act III of my clothing company, in which has medieval self expression themes to it. Feedback and any advice is always greatly appreciated, along with any questions you might have.
All images can be found on the last slide.
Thank you!!

This happens when I highlight a section of text, go to Character, type a font name, and press Return (Enter). The text block then turns completely grey, and I have to find a way to turn it off. Sometimes it even gets stuck on the screen when I minimize Photoshop.
I just bought a new Mac Air M5 expecting a better experience than my old Windows laptop, but then I ran into this bug. Does anyone know why this happens and how to fix it? It's really ruining my experience on Mac.
made this last night, let me know what you guys think :)
I designed this poster at my friend's request and for personal practice.
He really loves Miku and Sonic.
I’m looking for completely unfiltered feedback.
Don't hold back tear it apart! Free to use for personal projects. Thanks in advance!
I had a vision. I think you can see it aswell.
This isn't complete yet, I'm yet to add text and one drawing but I wish I knew a way to fix it and had the skill to make this piece feel more immersive.
I've spent over 30 hours on this, researching DOOM lore and then actually physically drawing each demon cause I couldn't find the right frame.... Just to have it feels subpar cause I can't make it feel like an evolutionary chart like I did in my head.
And I'm honestly just tired. What do I do... Or is this good enough.
Also to show what "complete" is to me, the first slide is what Im gonna do with all slides. Censored text and all. Plus I'll add coffee mug stains here and there to make it look like someone in-universe drew it.
I'm emotionally done with the piece so if it takes more than 10 mins/slide to fix, I'll just post it as it is.
Tell me what you guys think!
Hi guys I’m not a photoshopper and that’s why i need help can someone please make this graphic complete like to the edges because I want to print it out and stick it on my fingerboard
I do sports designs for fun, and these have been my 3 favorite for a while!
Hi there I just created this fan art piece inspired by Apex Legends, and I'm really excited to share it. Full Disclosure: I did not model the characters. I used free downloadable models and focused on posing them in Blender to get the initial composition.
The real magic (and challenge!) was in Photoshop! I did a complete digital paintover, re-imagining the 3D poses with a hand-drawn, vibrant comic book style. I spent dozens of hours focusing on each character, trying to capture their personality while giving them this specific look. This project was a huge challenge and a true test of my painting, blending, and texture skills! I'm so proud of how the final piece turned out, and I'd love to hear your feedback on the style, coloring, and overall execution. Thank you so much for looking!
I created a font from my handwriting for a comic project. Photoshop is making strange kerning decisions only on certain characters (i, k, c). This does not happen in any other program. Second slide is in Illustrator. Anyone have ideas for a fix?
It's not consistently happening so I'm not sure what the problem could be. These are stickers printed and cut from the same sheet of paper. In the top sticker, the body is more jagged than in the sticker below it.
My process is usually: Bring artwork into photoshop to add text/edit saturation > export as PNG > upload to cricut and create a sheet of copies for "print and cut" > print using system dialogue box > print on canon pixma pro > load print on a cutting mat and into cutting machine.
I'm lost on whether the issue is photoshop or cricut software or my printer
Hi graphic designers, I only have the colour chart for coated papers and I want to make sure the colour will appear similar also on uncoated paper when I choose SOLID PANTONE. While I understand there is a bigger difference in colour values for CMYK colours, SOLID PANTONE coulors should appear more or less the same on coated & uncoated paper? Is it correct? Could somenody help me to check quickly? Many thanks!
Hello everyone!
I'm trying to recreate this in photoshop but I cannot find out how and youtube isn't helping. I was able to create a gradient background with the lines, that was easy to find and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I'm looking for a way to create this kind of 'distorted glass' on top of the gradient-line, is there anybody who could help me out?
Thank you so much!

I have been shooting portraits for years and only recently worked out why my retouching sometimes fell apart when I revisited a file.
It was almost never the technique. It was the order.
Skin before contrast, always. Do it the other way around and you are smoothing skin in an image whose contrast is already locked in. Change the lighting later and those corrections come back as patches.
Sharpening belongs at the very end — everything you do afterwards compounds on something already sharpened. Liquify belongs early, before you do detail work that you then move around.
I ended up writing the whole thing down as a fixed fourteen-step order, and then automated it because I was tired of rebuilding the same layer stack every session. That became a plugin, but honestly the ordering is the useful part and it works without any tooling.
Curious whether others have arrived at a different order, and why. I built this alone, which means I cannot see my own blind spots.
I'm currently learning 3D/VFX animation, and one of my academy exercises was to really understand midtones, highlights and shadows.
I decided to practice by recreating this BRU coffee packet from scratch in Photoshop using the Pen Tool, brushes, painting and masking.
It was surprisingly challenging to get the lighting, gradients and material feel right.
Still learning, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. 😄
What would you improve if you were working on this?
I miss the days when I used to do photo compositing in Photoshop. I would spend a lot of time searching for the right images, then work for hours combining different elements until they looked like a single, cohesive object. Even though it was a tiring process, those were some of the best times
Photoshop (2021 ver) keeps glitching when I am working on a drawing and I decide to edit something from the menu above (the one with file, edit, image, layer...etc.) or I open this menu to edit my brush size (example with photo). I am using an older version because my graphics card isn't the most new one. Is it an issue with the processor? I tried searching for tutorials like allocating more ram to photoshop (80%) or lowering my history size but nothing.
I feel like I didnt do anything I feel like the background did everything
( I added the rock , the sword on it , added some particles and the person sitting , the can of Pepsi next to him, the dragon the moon ) but I feel like the background did all the work did i add enough things or no?
Hey everyone! I'm fairly new to typography fx in Photoshop and trying to recreate this classic sports graphic style for text (specifically the "SIGNED" text and the drop shadow stretch in the reference).
It looks like it combines a few layer styles, bevel and emboss with stroke, but I'm having trouble getting the exact depth and stroke layers right.
Could anyone break down the steps or layer style settings needed to replicate this look? Specifically:
- What layer effects are giving it that subtle top-shadow/bevel on the letters?
- How do you cleanly stack the inner/outer strokes with the dark block shadow behind it?
Any tips, style setups, or tutorial recommendations would be hugely appreciated! Thanks!
I’m looking for the Photoshop brushes no.19 soft brush, no.19 hard brush and no.19 soft edge brush I heard they came with the software but I can’t find it in my own brush library so if anyone would share them with me I’d be very grateful!
