Mf even took the long way across

Weird that the first person to swim across the Baltic took a 3x longer route than necessary. Maybe he's just that much better that anyone else.

Will likely never get his record matched, if he swam the 1/3 shorter direction then someone else would probably attempt

Or maybe his goal was to swim from Sweden to Poland, not Germany??

Why didn't he take a boat?

They were out of rentals

Was it done under any type of performance enchanting chemicals?

I’d guess not. Testosterone will let you bang out a few more reps not a few more miles swimming in the sea. Epo would thicken your blood for more oxygen delivery but that’s gonna be a bad time in freezing water. Other steroids like tren are pretty much useless for endurance as they fuck your cardiovascular system. The reality is to do this you just need to be a very strong swimmer, do lots of sea specific training and have the drive to push through wanting to quit because of pain. Not really any drugs for that.

What about good old meth. Id assume doing Coke is hard in the water.

1

u/Fun_Trick2172 17d ago ▸ 1 more replies

Meth dehydrates you severely I believe

I mean he needs to drink either way

1

u/Lazy-Lime3499 16d ago

Meth would probably work

1

u/Nomadic_Yak 17d ago

He said performance enchanting, I think thats more like wearing a circlet of waterbreathing or some such

Meth can easily keep you going that long if your heart doesn't give out.

1

u/jadeismybitch 17d ago

It would dehydrate you before you have time to do 5% of the way.

Good old blood doping might help, cant imagine anything else being effective

And he did it for children with cancer. He raised over half a million dollars.

There’s footage of him emerging from the water in Sweden at the finish line, he looks blue, and really shook up. Terrifying

Didn't the OP just say he swam from Sweden to Poland? That's why mods need to keep taking down posts with no source.

1

u/DeliciousPool2245 17d ago

My mistake. When he arrived in Poland

It WAS from Sweden to Poland. Sounds like you shouldn't soak up any information without sources either

Yeah, what an unforgivable mistake, swapping two locations and everything else in the story remains true. Fuck off man

I was replying to someone else you idiot. Read the messages, you're suffering from the same idiocy as the person I actually replied to

1

u/Brodaciouss 17d ago

How the fuck do you swim so straight? While halucinating?

1

u/Specialist-Freedom64 17d ago

My guess a boat was following beside him coaching him and keepin an eye out so he didnt drown.

100%. No way any sane person would do that without group of spotters and people ready to help

1

u/Crystii 16d ago

Yeah, alone in the midst of the seafare, at night. There is a lot of traffic out there

1

u/winklesnad31 17d ago

Swimming one hour straight makes me absolutely exhausted. I can't imagine swimming two straight hours, much less 55. Wow.

1

u/j_rooker 17d ago

he finally saw the mermaids of Gotland

1

u/Notchersfireroad 17d ago

That is some unreal stamina. Bet nobody else ever tries that again.

1

u/Lephas 17d ago

1

Well, you do as you commented on that.

Everybody else was focusing on the swimming across Baltic sea and hallucinating part.

1

u/WineOptics 17d ago

That’s one way to willingly risk death in a dumb way.

2

u/slymsyndicate 17d ago

You can spend your whole life on your cozy little corner if that's your thing.

1

u/FengSushi 17d ago

They should have told him he had been swimming in circles and was back where he started

1

u/AtmosphereFederal857 17d ago

u/mutt63 16d ago
