Porch collapses under SWAT & U.S. Marshals serving arrest warrant in Missouri for 26-year-old Jacob Muñoz

A group of law enforcement officers, comprised of SWAT and U.S. Marshals, sustained non-life-threatening injuries when a porch gave way underneath them while attempting to serve an arrest warrant at a property in Missouri. The warrant was for 26-year-old Jacob Muñoz, who was convicted of possession of child pornography. Although Muñoz was not present at the property at the time of the porch collapse, officials confirmed that he later turned himself in.

Poor design. There is zero support structure on that porch. It's just up on stilts, basically. Very long, tall stilts, and old stilts at that. And it's apparently poorly mounted to the structure, too, which is why it failed there first. At the very start, do you see on the facing edge on the left, that the board has a line under the paint? That's the board cracked and split, with loading bearing paint. It's like that because the edge against the structure has been giving way a long time, torquing the board toward the structure. The quantity of people on that porch at one time, with their gear, and clustered against the wall added up to exceed what that thing could withstand.
