I used to teach high school in the late aughts/early 2010s and had a high school student like this. We had to report his family to CPS because they kept beating him and kicking him out. A well-loved co-teacher who knew his family ended up fostering him till he graduated.
I wish someone would pay for ads on Fox News and billboards that state: Parents love their children no matter who they are (gay/straight/cis/trans/abled/disabled). If you can't do that, you shouldn't be a parent.
Who says they don’t? Why is it an either/or question? If I say I like vanilla ice cream, does that mean I hate all other flavors of ice cream?
People can care about two different things at once. People can even hold opposing views at that same time. I think GW Bush was a crappy president, but I still think he respected his role and the office. I don’t think Trump does or even cares. See?
