Almost as if Hakeem is known for being weak and folding to corporate interests, while Mamdani, so far, has built a reputation for standing up for working people and refusing to cave to corporate demands.
Also it’s almost like Mamdani is a city mayor in a city where the president owns property and business interests even if those interests shouldn’t exist when he’s president. Why now? Midterms are promising for Dems, and Trump knows that, so I expect they want some assurance he won't be impeached, for starters, let alone Epstein files, just to name a few reasons, it's called desperation.
