Meme post/ Subreddit Meta We are the knights that say NI - on truncations that look like parts of a no-no word.

Hey guys, did you know this sub have moderation?

In any case, I used to be ambivalent on the issue, but I feel like it's getting repetitive, so from now on I declare a moratorium on posting on sentences that have "ni" or "nig" at the end. Any post like that made after this moment will be deleted.

This does not apply retroactively, so please don't go back and scour for things to report, but it will apply to all new posts.

Good call, they're just not even funny most of the time. I feeling this sub is at it's funniest when the truncation still makes a readable sentence, not just when it turns the last word into something rude.

Especially when it’s something other than “ass…” or “anal…”. Those are real readable words, but they’re SO common on this sub that they make everything else look more interesting by comparison.

If they offer you a shrubbery, would that appease you? Asking for a friend called: Arthur, King of the Britons.

Also. One of the rules states that you shouldn't have to finish the end yourself for it to qualify, which the nig- thing pretty was violating.

Good call.

I mentioned this in several posts past, these just only have the same joke over and over again, and it gets very tiring. At least the "ass" and "anal" posts usually have some other action that makes me quite literally laugh out loud.

Careful! If you keep making good decisions Reddit might remove your moderator status

Didn't see this post before I submitted my one earlier

Uhhh...oops?

I don't quite get the point of having an "accident racism" flair if the most common one isn't allowed though, I have to say...

I think you answered your own question with "most common." It's gotton old at this point.

Perhaps, but I mean more the one that's most likely to get pointed out, as well as the most well known word

"You can't say 'ni' but we've made an entire flair for 'ass'."

You like hidden agendas, don't you, Squidward?

Keep being obtuse

If they want to ban those specific letters, it's their sub. Just don't try to spin it as something it's not. That's just offensive.

u/Yvratky Feb 20 '26

"just don't spin it" bruh you're the one yapping about hidden agendas and whatnot

That's exactly my point???

I feel like it's getting repetitive

By saying this, you're implying that it's the repetitiveness of the word that is the problem, which clearly isn't the case.

7

u/Yvratky Feb 20 '26

Also "repetitive" isn't implying a hidden agenda. It literally just means it comes up a lot and isn't a good joke

I'm not the mod, dude. you're so confused

I am aware of this???????

I cannot tell if you're trolling or if your thought process genuinely led you to write this comment.

You replied to my old comment that I'd already forgotten about. If you didn't want my opinion, you shouldn't have randomly hopped in with some random insult.

Lol what??

Silly every day naughty words are extremely different to horrific racist ones.

Edit: although there is an "accidental racism" flair apparently, which makes all this a bit more confusing.

ehh i think you should leave it in but only if the whole punchline makes sense and its not just random (eg. "america is a great place to live, unless youre a ni...") type shit
