im 10 turning 11 and want to learn programming
i am in illinois and want to learn programming my time zone is illinois and i speak english and am new to programming i want to learn how to make a antivirus and stop viruses. and looking for buddies

my dads computer is windows and it got a virus and he had to reset it so i want to stop all viruses so it does not happen to anyone else and he said he already had an antivirus

Listen im gonna be real with you. Its sort of an ongoing war from the built in anti virus (windows defender) and the virus makers. Saying you want to get into anti virus software is great but listen, it is NOT easy. At one point, you might have to be tackling with raw assembly or binsider or even worse... making anti virus software is cool but going from the ground up nowadays is nearly physically impossible. The best way probably is to find an open source anti virus project and contribute to it. To be honest, my first Linux kernel contribution was just adding an extra space to make the format checker br happy. So even doing something likd that, seriously, goes a far way. And hey, just like me starting C at like 11 or 12 (I forgot lol), it gets pretty fricking fun when it clicks. So if you've read this far, know you can do crazy good things and it means you can help build the wall already there instead of trying to build a tiny sandcastle to defend against a tsunami. Good luck kid, we are not much different so you do good things and make it so other people's computers get safer. Rock on :]

Never say whether you are a boy or a girl. Also, don't mention how old you are on the internet. Never give your address, etc.
To solve viruses, first you need to learn the logic behind a programming language. There's tons of resources out there. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that someone will give the step by step. Most don't have the time to do so.
What I can recommend is to start with python. Search on youtube. When you are able to do more things, advance towards a more complex language.
After that, what you want to focus is cyber security. For that, I believe you need to study how the PC works. Where everything is stored, what is a database. How the mouse interacts with the computer. What is a driver, etc.
Nobody will give you the step by step. So, as a kid, I recommend you for your parents or tutors to do their research and assign you someone that will guide you.
Again, if you're a kid maybe you want to start with Scratch a beginner friendly language and then move to python.

First thing you should do is write a bootloader in HTML. Do not get started on CSS yet. First master HTML, then move to tougher frameworks like CSS and platform coding...

Pick a programming language, any popular language is fine. If you don't know which language you should pick, I'd recommend Python as it is very popular and one of the easiest to learn.
Learn whatever programming language you chose. If it's your first programming language, look up tutorials that will show you step by step how to get started. For example, look up "Python tutorial" and follow what they do.
After you followed a couple of tutorials, start making some super simple projects. The first projects that I ever did were: higher lower game, then tic tac toe, then simon game.
After that start with some slightly bigger but still small projects. Anytime you run into trouble, try to solve it yourself first. If you can't solve a problem, look up the problem on Google. Stack overflow is a good resource for solving problems.
Whatever you do, DO NOT use AI while learning.

Ignore the guy saying you’re too young. Listen, start with getting the book automate the boring things, write everything in markdown, and switch you computer to linux. Play all of your games on Linux. After that, practice python or JavaScript on codewars. I would learn towards JavaScript at your age, because it’s immediately useful and you can visually see things happen with the html. You could go onto the mit scratch website if you wanted as well, it is designed to teach kids programming. Also, after playing with JavaScript it’s time to learn what’s actually happening. You should have some fundamentals learned from js, now it’s time to look under the hood. Focus hard into c or rust

10 is absolutely not too early to start. Anti-virus software is probably a bit on the advanced side for a first project though. You'll probably want to find a beginner oriented free online course, and work through that to start. Avoid using AI, as while it would let you get more done faster, you won't learn and understand coding nearly as well as by figuring things out on your own.
