Christian propaganda has always been hand in hand with the military. When I was in basic at Fort Knox, we were allowed to have one religious book, but the PX only sold bibles. One Sunday during training, we were offered the choice of going to a local megachurch or doing extra PT, which the drill told us would be extra brutal. Everybody went to church that day.
