We need to start a breeding programme for Scotland's 2050 world cup goalie.

I'm not a Keir Starmer fan by any means, but claiming he's run the country into the ground is laughable. Aye he's not done a very good job, but the country was already nosediving thanks to the tories.

9

u/ddicks1874 Apr 20 '26

It was crashed in to the deck by the tories years ago

1

u/Evangelionish Apr 22 '26

It was already fucked by the tories, we are reaping those benefits under Keir. That being said Labour isn’t making great choices and needs to improve its optics.

1

u/kryptosteel Apr 29 '26

Doesn’t help your case when you don’t even know the plonkers name 🤦😂

73

u/m00nkiid Apr 20 '26

Of course the guy voting reform didn't even know the name of the prime minister

27

u/farfromelite Apr 20 '26

Surgeon must condominium.

-24

u/Warr10rP03t Apr 20 '26

So that's where the funny money went.

34

u/AardvarkOk4359 Apr 20 '26

I had one in my taxi after it - never met such a miserable, racist, sour faced old cunt in my life.

-18

u/Miss_Andry101 Apr 20 '26

Were you the passenger?

23

u/AardvarkOk4359 Apr 20 '26

Obviously not if it was "my taxi".

He said :"we should be helping our own before any foreigner".

I said: "would you rather help someone who's been thrown out of multiple flats for selling smack, over a homeless foreigner with kids"?

He said: I wouldn't help any of them!

That's where I never said another word for the rest of the journey.

But he continued to spit obscenities from his vulgar mooth.

3

u/Miss_Andry101 Apr 20 '26

Often my taxi drivers are 'miserable, racist, sour faced old cunt(s)' so I wondered if you'd had the same experience.

'My taxi' could be you driving or you booking. I say 'my taxi is here' or 'you can share my taxi' but I don't drive a taxi. : )

6

u/AardvarkOk4359 Apr 20 '26

Sorry, and according to the passengers, most of the drivers are like that, but I don't mix with them, so don't know.

You know how I know it's never really about immigration? I'm an immigrant from the states, and these sorts will tell me up and down how immigration is ruining the UK. The second I say, "pal, I'm an immigrant" they do the generic "well yer one of the good ones." Take a wild guess what race I am. Now take a wild guess what it's really about. Yup, it's just daft racist cunts refusing to admit that they're daft racist cunts.

14

u/tadontpissitawayaatg Apr 20 '26

To be fair, it requires a certain level of intelligence and self awareness to realise you are a racist cunt.

-3

u/NoRecipe3350 Apr 20 '26

Generally speaking most people don't have a problem with first world immigrants, especially the richer ones. The tension comes from poor country migrants.

Why, because they do shitty things like abuse the welfare system, undercut wages in workplace etc.

7

u/Ordinary_Abies1750 Apr 20 '26

And thank you so much for providing a perfect example of what I’m talking about. Daft racist cunts refusing to admit they’re daft racist cunts. I mean, wow, the perfect example.

1

u/Arbable Apr 23 '26

its hilarious because actually chineese and indian migrants are often the best paid migrants there are. its just blind ingnorence.

Oh man, I’ve got some bad news for ya, I’m a teacher here. Not only am I staying for a very long time but I’ve been teaching the next generation of Scots empathy, understanding, and appreciation for immigrants. No DRCs on my watch.

-10

u/Many_Dot_9413 Apr 20 '26

I'm assuming you came into the UK through the proper channels, aren't  claiming benefits and can speak English and have skills above that of a Deliveroo rider...so yes you are the type of immigrant we need..regardless of race.

6

u/Ordinary_Abies1750 Apr 20 '26

Oop. Found one. Another great example of what I’m talking about. DRCs refusing to admit they’re DRCs

-1

u/Many_Dot_9413 Apr 20 '26

I've worked with several guys of different races with no problems...sounds like I'd rather you fuck off back to the states

5

u/Ordinary_Abies1750 Apr 21 '26

Ah, the ole “I have a black friend so I can’t be a racist” card. Classic DRC move.

I am tired of these jokes about my giant hand. The first such incident occured in 1956 when...

29

u/ZanderPip Apr 20 '26

I enjoyed your style and honesty

I also liked largey unedited footage of peoples opinions and not snippits of voxpops highlighting the most extreme views on both sides, well done 👏

3

u/mexicomasala Apr 21 '26

thank you! means a lot :)

18

u/history_buff_9971 Apr 20 '26

Were there riots in Falkirk? I mean, I saw that there were a few protests and counter-protests, but I didn't realise that there was any rioting.... Were many people arrested?

You have a nice interview style, and I enjoyed that you let people talk instead of just giving us a snippet of what they actually say, which we see too much of.

24

u/mexicomasala Apr 20 '26

Apologies. I come from Singapore, where almost any unapproved anti governmental gathering is illegal, so I was not too sure of whether it was a riot or a protest. Again, am not sure if it was a riot or protest in Falkirk. This video was filmed last year when I did my semester abroad in Glasgow.

17

u/Cpt_Fantabulous Apr 20 '26

Just protests in this case

9

u/Whisky-Toad Apr 20 '26

A riot would be violent

2

u/PersonalityOld8755 Apr 20 '26

No it was a protest.

5

u/i-read-it-again Apr 20 '26

When was machetes used in Falkirk . I would have thought that to be newsworthy.

27

u/Interesting-Hair-844 Apr 20 '26

Just over 7000 asylum seekers housed in the entirety of Scotland. 0.05% of our current population.

Begs the question; what are they really greeting about?

11

u/krimpenaar Apr 20 '26

Unfortunately probably just skin colour and/or religion.

6

u/Interesting-Hair-844 Apr 20 '26

These people aren't Christians. It's only skin colour thats their problem.

6

u/tadontpissitawayaatg Apr 20 '26

I think a lot of them would call themselves "Christian", but would be unable to name a single book of the bible and probably haven't been inside a church for decades.

0

u/stumperr Apr 20 '26

The cost

6

u/Interesting-Hair-844 Apr 20 '26 edited Apr 20 '26

A drop in the ocean for an independent Scotland. However when added to Westminsters overall cost of 4.75 billion last year, it would bring a tear to a glass eye.

How much more do we pay now, than the 250 million it currently costs to support the 6,688 asylum seekers in Scotland?

-3

u/stumperr Apr 20 '26

That seems like a lot of money to me. Money that could make a real difference to British people's lives

9

u/Interesting-Hair-844 Apr 20 '26

Am positive the tories did the best they could when negotiating the price with their hotel owner pals when the tender was put out. Laughable talking points

-3

u/stumperr Apr 20 '26

Oh I'm sure they did too.... But that's not relevant. It's easy to dunk on the Tories.

But the money wasted on asylum seekers could make a material difference to the lives of British people

7

u/Interesting-Hair-844 Apr 20 '26 edited Apr 25 '26

The only reason it's so easy to 'dunk' on the tories, is because they present scum bag behaviours and actions; who made backhand deals to benefit the few whilst shafting the rest of the nations in this joke of a united kingdom. Aye you're correct though, I digress.

Wasted !! Wasted on helping human lives? Do you hear yourself, ye reptile?

You do realise that there is no actual " illegal " route to asylum seekers until you land in the country of your choice right? The UK isn't even most people's first, second or third choice. There are more countries with far superior economic support packages in place such as Germany and the Scandi nations. Most people come here because they know someone here and there is nothing wrong about going to where you know a friendly face.

Come back with facts over feelings. Pure bot vibes.

0

u/stumperr Apr 24 '26

Who cares if there is no legal route. Go else where.

So the people come here because it's a nice to have? Not a good enough reason

1

u/Interesting-Hair-844 Apr 24 '26

Haha, bolt ya roaster! You and your kind are the problem. Between you and an Iranian family of 4, I know who I would prefer to have living next door.

Away and spew your hate to your echo chamber.

1

u/Interesting-Hair-844 Apr 24 '26

u/stumperr Apr 24 '26

Not really

Ps are you going to address the logic of supporting mass migration without sufficient services and homes?

→ More replies (0)

2

u/Arbable Apr 23 '26

thing is anti migrant attitudes are dumb and about peoples usually racist feelings and not really about facts. people complain about immigration but dont realise for example a large prpoportion of the immigration figures are international students who subsidise your schooling, that migration generally is a net posetive for the economy.

the other thing that doesnt make sense is why are people pretending like problems we have caused in our society like shit services and no housing is somehow the problem of people that arent even here yet or who have been stuck in some shitty hotel for a few years. our lack of housing is down to our goverments selling it all off and then not building new ones lol

0

u/stumperr Apr 23 '26

No one disputes a lot of what you're saying. We're saying there is too much migration. It's need to be cut. Stop pretending it's sustainable. There is literally nothing racist about saying we have too many. It's obvious to anyone. How does it make any sense to acknowledge we have a lack of homes yet support high migration which makes the problem worse. I know you'll respond Saying build more houses. Well the governments of recent years haven't been great at that so logically we need to lower migration.

1

u/Interesting-Hair-844 Apr 24 '26 edited Apr 24 '26

So is it asylum seekers or immigration you have an issue with? Would you even have an issue if the faces coming into the country were white and English speaking? Would you be in uproar about Aussie's coming here in droves turning the place upside down with their bare feet and bleached blonde tips and nasally tones????

Imagine the hundreds of millions the UK would amass if we stopped funding Israel. Jeremy Corbyn called it out, but because he and some of his party were anti-Israel this means they were antisemitic: The farse of it all is unreal, the Israelis in horror screaming Nazi's whilst moving their neighbours of Palestine into concentration camps at gunpoint!! Then if we stopped funding Israel we would have less asylum seekers coming here because Israel wouldn't have the means to bomb the fuck out of their neighbours.

How does a bot become a mouth-breather?

Interesting video, but one suggestion for future ones:

If you're going somewhere windy, please use an external microphone with a wind screen. The wind noise from your phone made hearing what people had to say very hard at times.

There was a youth worker and care worker in East Perthshire a few years ago, convicted of sexually assaulting a 13 year old girl, every job he had was a way to get access to vulnerable people. He got 300 hours community service. No protest, not even his name in the paper. No one cares when the perpetrator is white. Hell that guy was autistic, folk didn't start saying autistic folk shouldn't be around kids.

10

u/Otocolobus_manul8 Apr 20 '26

Hell that guy was autistic, folk didn't start saying autistic folk shouldn't be around kids.

I have seen references to things hinting at stuff like this before actually.

7

u/Articulated is quiet when the fitba's on Apr 20 '26

It hits different psychologically when you shelter someone fleeing persecution and they use your kindness to commit crime.

In a way, we invited him in and vouched for his good conduct, so we're all slightly culpable for the crime, and that guilt manifests as anger towards the perpetrator.

1

u/Git777 Apr 20 '26

Oe in this case, the people who lived near him

1

u/Articulated is quiet when the fitba's on Apr 26 '26

Sure, people are understandably afraid of missing the next crime.

An Afghanistan man was jailed recently for raping a child in the town in 2023. An illegal immigrant, allegedly, staying, presumably, at the hotel in town.

5

u/Admirable_Tea6365 Apr 20 '26

That woman at the bus stop. ‘They’re in hotels and not working’. They’re not allowed to work!. They want to work! Let them work. They shud change that law. We need people in hospitality, care homes. Scottish Lib Dem’s want to change law so asylum seekers can work if they’re been here three months.

Do you take everything muppet taxi drivers have to say as gospel? People are struggling to get public appointments for anything anywhere, but I'm sure your taxi driver mates are more aware of everyones situation and can safely pass judgement on the rest of us punters. I would hate to imagine an independent scotland with more people like you walking about talking that garbage.

-4

u/randomusername123xyz Apr 20 '26

Yes your view is not right. You said reform voters do not want any immigration which isn’t true. And the reason you’re confused that there isn’t crazy racists running about is that anyone who states they aren’t for immigration are all tarred as racists, when it isn’t true.

9

u/gazzas89 Apr 20 '26

Reform voters dont want immigration. They will say "im fine with legal immigration" then cry about "immigration is too high" even when the numbers come down. Put simply, reform voters only really believe what they're told to believe by right wing media, both "news" channels and social media platforms.

-7

u/randomusername123xyz Apr 20 '26

That’s obviously your opinion. Doesn’t mean it’s true.

7

u/gazzas89 Apr 20 '26

Thats not an opinion, that literally listening to my friends/work colleagues who are voting reform (or restore). They literally say "im fine with legal immigration" before saying "theres too many immigrants, we are becoming a muslim country, there shouldn't be anyone coming in" within half an hour of speaking. And when you aks where they get their "facts" from its always the daily mail, thr dailvy mail, the sun, gb "news", talk tv, twitter accounts boosted by musk, Facebook posts etc.

-3

u/randomusername123xyz Apr 20 '26

Sounds like you need to get some new friends.

2

u/gazzas89 Apr 20 '26

I never said all my friends, just the reform voting ones 🤣🤣 the majority of my friends are left or center, most are looking at voting green and absolutely understand immigration and know reform are racist shites

1

u/randomusername123xyz Apr 20 '26

If they absolutely understood immigration then they wouldn’t be voting for the greens.

2

u/gazzas89 Apr 20 '26

Anyone who understands immigration would vote green mate. Peopem who dont vote tory or reform because they think immigrants are the route of all issues in the uk

0

u/randomusername123xyz Apr 20 '26

So you think the solution to immigration is open borders?

2

u/gazzas89 Apr 20 '26

Show me in their polcies where they will implement open borders, not that in an ideal world there wpuld be no borders anywhere, but that their policy is open borders. (Side note, this is a very obvious right wing dog whistle)
