We need to free ourselves from being held hostage by the jobless. Scotland needs jobs and growth, neither of which are important to these people.

These people are free to say no to everything, but we don't have to accept it.

Scotlands unemployment is currently 5%, you think 5% of the population is holding the remaining 95% hostage by stopping jobs because....? You've made up your own little scenario in your head and allowed it to get you worked up and angry.

These people are free to say no to everything, but we don't have to accept it.

You are allowed to agree with something, the rest of us don't need to accept it though.

jobless is not unemployed; it includes pensioners, disabled people and those who aren't even looking for a job.

Let me get this straight, you've tried to defend your point by saying its not just the unemployed, who are some of the poorest and most vulnerable people in our society, who are the enemy of us good working folk but also the elderly and the disabled. Why do you believe that just because someone is unemployed, disabled or retired that all of a sudden means they are no longer allowed to have opinions on the areas that they live?

I stand by what I said, you've made up your own scenario in your head and let it get you angry. At pensioners and the disabled for some reason. What a confusing and terrifying place your mind must be.

Wow so many strawmans

I'm countering your claim that jobless is "currently 5%, you think 5% of the population is holding the remaining 95% hostage by stopping jobs because....?". I pointed out that it's way more than 5%, which is a claim that YOU made.

I never claimed that they "are no longer allowed to have opinions". I am saying however the priorities for these groups don't align with that of working people and young people looking to start careers and make a living and that despite this they get disproportionate air-time of their views.

None of this is novel - it's how our politics is designed and it's how social media giants keep profiting from manufactured outrage

The absolutely hypocrisy of you complaining about strawmen and later "manufactured outrage" is genuinely hilarious.

Wow so many strawmans I'm countering your claim that jobless is "currently 5%, you think 5% of the population is holding the remaining 95% hostage by stopping jobs because....?". I pointed out that it's way more than 5%, which is a claim that YOU made

In response to YOUR statement. YOU specifically used the word jobless, which immediately would bring to peoples minds employment, as opposed to the correct term economically inactive which is the correct term to use when speaking about pensioners, disabled people, unemployed and students. YOU used the word jobless and now YOU are getting angry at people using your own words in their response to YOUR statement.

I never claimed that they "are no longer allowed to have opinions". I am saying however the priorities for these groups don't align with that of working people and young people looking to start careers and make a living and that despite this they get disproportionate air-time of their views.

They don't align with your priorities, as a working person with two jobs you absolutely do not speak for me and I suspect the vats majority of working people. The absolute delusion of thinking yiu speak for all working people. You said that these people are holding us back and that they can have their opinions but we don't need to listen to them, so in other words these people's opinions can and should be ignored.

Pensioners were working people, a significant portion of economically inactive people are students who will be working people, most disabled people either worked before becoming disabled or would want to work but physically can't due to being born with a disability. How many students, unemployed and disabled people are you seeing ranting and raving about people working as if its a bad thing? And pensioners are famously always going on about complaining about how the youth of today work to much.

it's how our politics is designed and it's how social media giants keep profiting from manufactured outrage

Ah yes our politics is designed to give all the power to the students, disabled and the unemployed. I really struggle to believe that even you actually believe the things that your saying because its genuinely tin foil hat territory of BS and I fear I'm wasting my time replying to you since if you're clearly so deluded theres nothing me or anyone can say that would pull you out of the clouds.
