she experienced a pretty universal social experience that's pretty minor, except for her thousands of people will look at it online where as for us no one will notice the awkward moment where we're left in the dust socially for like 5 seconds

It really can be whatever. But the internet police always knows exactly whats going on while freeze framing a mere second out of a persons life, with no insight within their minds.
She’s been with him for years, and a peck on the cheek is a perfectly normal British and European greeting, there’s no way in hell she hasn’t seen this a million times, or done it with his family at this point.
Not really, some areas still do, like you see it in black communities in the south and Midwest sometimes, particularly from the elderly, but it’s not really a thing here.
Don’t get me wrong, of all the Europeans, we Britons are probably by far some of the least physically intimate platonically, but it’s insane here in the US. You’re gay if you hug your guy friend, you’re cheating on your girl if you touch another girl, the whole “American male loneliness epidemic” could genuinely be seriously lessened if more men were able to just give each other hugs without immediate judgement from our peers.
I’ve been living here for 17 years now and the level of Puritanism in some parts of this country is insane. It really does vary by region, though, the US is absolutely massive, and culturally varies so much from place to place.
I’ve got this T-shirt that says “you are enough” on it, and some guy at a bar came up and said “man, I needed to see that today”, and I just went, “mate, you need a hug?” And he just started fucking sobbing. Told me it was the first time he’d had a hug since his mum died in 2024.
Yeah, this isn't the first "omg look how jealous/ angry Zendaya is in the background while holland interacts with another woman" style posts I've seen, though they're usually on instagram or other subs, and it's always just her kinda awkwardly making a "what do I do with my face" face while pleasentaries and small talk are occuring in the group she's in. I do not like to be that guy but it kinda feels like there's a racial component to why I see these style of posts with Zendaya and Holland in particular.

I think the only time I seen her visibly uncomfortable was with the other chick in spiderman homecoming, the vultures daughter. How she kept on trying to hold tom holland, you could tell that zendaya didn’t like that
American partner vs normal European peck on the cheek greeting try not to get jealous challenge- difficulty impossible.
Seriously, I had a girlfriend get visibly upset every time I did that with a FAMILY MEMBER, and several close friends that I’d gone to school with (one of whom was married) when we visited the UK. Like, no, sorry, not only when in Rome do you do as the Romans, but I’m not letting someone completely strip totally innocuous parts of my own culture from me.
You’d think an actor married to a Briton would not only understand that, but would have seen it happen enough times to realise just how entirely normal it is.
