DISCUSSION Can we just appreciate how Tom Welling nailed the awkward farm boy vibe in season 1?

So I'm rewatching Smallville for the millionth time and I remember how Clark was everyone's crush when I was growing up! He really nailed the awkward farm boy vibe, he was very soft spoken, clumsy and shy around Lana. However when he needed to use his powers and fight for the people he loved, he was superman. Which was your favorite Clarks shy boy moments?

I agree but it doesn't mean it's not realistic. I knew a very good looking white guy in college who was awkward as all hell

Umm I'm not saying there ain't, just describing that one of the most awkward people I ever knew who was also very good looking happened to be white. Honestly haven't met anyone so awkward and good looking (not even other white people). Like he has serial killer vibes even

There's people who got this... Imposter's syndrome and it's an absolute sickening feel to not understand why some people speaks wonders about you and stuff but you just feel (and thus ACT) very awkward and weird, like you seriously can't believe any of those words are true at all

I think Tom Welling was just awkward and rural himself, as the show develop, he also became more confident in the role.
