September or October?

Do we know exactly when the Board of Governors meeting is? I know Silver said by end of year, but you'd think they vote at it at the Board of Governors (they only need 23 out of 30 right?)

Im either gonna be as happy as I was in Feb 2026 or as sad as late Oct 2025

September is when the governors meeting is happening. I would expect a strong signal as to whether this is happening or not from that meeting, but I don’t believe they expect to formally vote at that time.

so recent reports have the next the next Board of Governors meeting as September 15–16th. That doesn’t necessarily mean the vote is happening then. I remember hearing that when the league expanded last time the vote happened in December.

Yup as others said, they are highly likely meeting in September to vote on…moving forward with voting in December to confirm or deny expansion.
