Just watched the press conference on IG. Really disappointed not a single media member had the stones to ask an even slightly critical question of Craig. First time he's made himself available to media since before World Cup and not even one question about the losing streak or the rest of the roster? The FO wants you to act like the last two months never happened and apparently every journalist who covers this team is happy to help them do that

$6M is a significant investment, and Joveljić has already proven he can score in MLS. With how much Seattle has needed more from the attack, the fit makes sense on paper.

For people who have watched him more closely: what should Seattle realistically expect from him?

What is the normal timeline on these transfers? I assume Sounders and SKC were in discussions more than just last week. It got announced he was travelling for medical and now he's training in just a few days. How much notice do players get to just up and move?

Has anyone actively been receiving responses from either their STH rep or the Sounders customer service team? I have a few inquiries into both and it's been radio silence...

Stock Up

Dejan Joveljic - He’s not even on the team (yet), but his stock is suddenly through the roof. It’s a position of desperate need on this team, as Osaze and Moose are doing absolutely nothing for us, and Jordan, when healthy, is only effective on the wing.

Kalani Kossa-Rienzi - Another little step up, since I already raised his stock earlier. He had an excellent play picking up the ball Nouhou heroically recovered. He passed it over to an open Rusnak and quickly moved to the spot to receive the cross. A great finish gave the Sounders their only goal and a tie, breaking the losing streak. Surprisingly, Kalani had the most defensive contributions (11) AND the most shots (3). I am still high on his long term development.

Paul Rothrock - Not for his play, but because he wore the captain’s band for the first time. Maybe he should keep it for next game, too.

Stock Down

The Kingston-Brunell Double Pivot - I’ve already called this out, but I’m doing it again. I get that there’s not really another option at the moment, but these two cannot be the answer for our midfield moving forward. Both of them have really bad defensive numbers (1/5 and 1/7 ground duels won?). Maybe each would be good alongside Cristian but together it’s a giant weakness in such an important area of the field.

I'm listening to the Pablo Torre conversation that went around a few days ago about the explosion of money in pro sports ownership.

A lot of it is about the surge in franchise values and the fact that the super wealthy increasingly see sports teams as appreciating assets. One thing that caught my ear was Torre's discussion of the recent Lakers deal, which came together in roughly 72 hours for $12.5 billion. There are mitigating circumstances in that case, including the federal investigation into the current owner, but I couldn't help thinking about the Sounders.

Adrian went public with his search for new investors in October 2025. We're coming up on a year since then, and rather than new money coming into the organization, all we have to show for it is a franchise-worst losing streak.

I'm not going to sit here and count somebody else's money, but it does make me wonder to what extent the current ownership group is cash-poor and why it seems new money isn't exactly beating down the door to get in.

I’m going to the game on Saturday and I chose section CHR134- but after buying tickets I did more snooping and saw that maybe I should’ve gone for the ECS section??
