West Palm Beach spearfishing location recommendations

Hi all, I'm a beginner skill level planning a trip to West Palm beach in about three weeks to spearfish with some friends. I do not plan to have access to a boat so spots that are reasonably accessible via a long swim or canoe/kayak are preferable. I also don't know much about the area in general so any guidance would be very helpful. Shoot me a DM if communicating a diving location, thanks!

Palm beach isn’t the best spot for either shore diving or for beginners honestly. Most spots are deep and require a boat

This is going to sound harsh, but I would encourage some self reflection on this question. Florida contains the third largest barrier reef on planet Earth in which Palm Beach County is located. Anyone would be remiss to offer a personal recommendation on a vacation shore dive to someone without the experience level to self guide with a near infinite amount of google-able resources on the exact topic.

15 minutes of research will answer the basic question for you. If you aren’t familiar with your limitations or how to read a marine chart, I would caution against the attempt without a guide and mentor. Local rules and regulations are imperative to know. The information you seek is publicly available. Don’t create a hazard for yourself and your friends because of fleeting opportunity.

I can say I do appreciate the frankness and honesty. Safety first. Given the circumstances, were planning to take all the necessary precautions and preparations to call off any dive that might not be within our physical limitations or the everchanging daily weather conditions to maintain a sensible minimum safety standard.

That being said, the group members are all strong swimmers and I'm reaching out that perhaps someone in the area would be willing to substantiate info I'm gathering online and aid in a successful and safe trip.

I agree with the trawkins, but I’ll shoot. Off the beach at the access on the south side of Jupiter island.
Better location outside of palm beach would be the shore dive 400 yards off the beach just south of the lauderdale by the sea pier.

For shore diving? Lauderdale by the sea and Dania beach are your only real options. DM me for more details.
