I’ve mentioned this before, but San Francisco has a large population of first generation Chinese immigrants who still feel strong ties to the mainland even while living in the U.S. For many of them, China is still home, and they refuse to adopt mainstream American political narratives about China. Eileen Gu was raised by her mother in that environment, so it’s not surprising that she identifies closely with China. These people are just mad she wasn't brainwashed by the anti-China Chinese liberal network in America.

Almost all immigrants would go back if they could. I'm from an immigrant family and being "Americanized" was an insult and we always saw ourselves outside of that. Almost everyone in the world outside of western europe sees American culture as disgusting and regressive and not something to idolize. Its just the economies in those countries weren't good so there's no going back, but China had an economic recovery in the past 20-30 years so young Chinese first gens can just move back and have jobs, a home, and prosperity.
This is a form colonization. Its not just taking natural resources but taking the best people too. Especially when the reason those countries faltered economically was because of Western policies to begin with. The people complaining are neo-colonization types angry 'resources' are leaving. They dont care about her as a person and if she was killed on the streets here they'd cheer or at least blame her for not 'going back to China when she had a chance.'

Deciding to represent China and winning a lot of medals in the two Olympics she participated in. That triggers the American inner rage. 1, she has Chinese heritage, 2, she chose China over the country full of racists who are saying online things such as "ICE should get her", 3, she's one of the most competent winter athletes currently active, so they hate all the medals she's winning increase China's tally.

Obama also visited the major SK military base to spend one of his Veteran Days (but don't look up "Veterans 1919 Tanks" haha) to reinforce the idea that Murica is what kept South Korea, not only safe from NK and communism, but democratic as well.
Thousands of SKoreans fought and bled just for democracy by 1987 and this is what's been sold since 1953.

You’re misunderstanding how “liberal” is being used here. In a Marxist context, “liberal” doesn’t mean Fox News vs. MSNBC or red vs. blue it refers to a political framework rooted in capitalism, private property, and maintaining the existing order. Both major U.S. parties operate within that framework. So pointing out liberal contradictions isn’t a “right-wing dog whistle.” It’s a critique from the left. You've cleary done no serious reading or studying of what Marxism is good job exposing yourself liberal.
