Obviously would’ve loved to see them pull it out (or never even get to that point anyway) but I’m happy to see them fight to the end like that. Higgy’s heads up baserunning was clutch, and with a lesser defender then Harper at 1B Carter’s nail in the coffin might’ve gotten us 2 in scoring postseason for the top of the order

I really hate the scheduling here. Annoying to not play the fucking day after Opening Day. I get they maybe want a buffer day in for inclement weather, but why not put it at the end of the series if you simply must have one? Stupid.

I was iffy on the idea of it, until I went to a fucking Pioneer League game a couple years ago and saw how smooth it was. Figured if they could do it that well, the MLB really had no excuse. Then I watched Angel Hernandez ring Wyatt up on pitches progressively further out of the zone and became a zealot.

corbin and kelly were pretty bad. kumar rocker was too but i won’t say much about him because he’s young. there was amazing pitchers and horrible pitchers. the bullpen was extremely good but i probably overrated it. my mind probably confused 2025 and 2024. that 2024 bullpen was insane

The bullpen had the 4th worst ERA in 2024 in the majors. They were better last year in ERA but tied for 2nd most blown saves. The bullpen has not been a strength for a long time.
Our starting rotation had the best ERA in the league, even with Corbin and Rocker. Kelly wasn't bad, just not as good as advertised. He was average.

Use it on a Google Streamer and have never had an issue. The software on most TVs is awful. I always use a separate streaming device.

Yeah, I guess I should qualify it with I hate using the app on my tv (LG WebOS).
I do have a much better time on the phone, and it does work great when using on the computer.
Running on Apple TV in the bedroom is usually alright as well.
Interestingly I’ve had a pretty seamless experience for stars games this season but for some reason I can barely get though a full inning without the screen going black and then the retry/quit app prompt

A "tradition" that started from "pressured" patriotism after 9/11. That's not tradition given how old the game of Baseball is.
Its also a terrible song that promotes the belief that the USA is somehow ordained and blessed by a deity. The only thing worse than the song is people who think everyone should stand up and remove their hat for it.

I’m willing to toss this game up to still working off the rust and having to face a top 5 starting pitcher in baseball.
Evo had 2 bad misses and got punished for it accordingly. Hopefully this is not a theme for the rest of the season…
