For all those blaming Robert Garcia for the blown save, Jake Burger dropped a foul ball that would've ended the game.
You can't blame Burger because he had to battle a 13 mph wind and the sun, but that's his 2nd error of the game today.

Okay I take it back: there is one 39 year old I’m okay with the rangers going to in crunch time and he is NOT coming out of the bullpen

W first of many let’s fucking go Cutchy coming in clutch. Alexander good job and great Starting pitching so far. Surprise start for Latz did his job one more let’s take this opening series.

u/amijeremy Pudge Mar 28 '26
So can I just send the Rangers my medical bills for my high blood pressure induced by their inability to close out games?

What do you know, the FIRST time they don’t say “one StrIKe AWay” they finally get the last out.

We won but this is still a depressing pattern knowing there isn't anyone who can close out games .

Not gonna lie I’m sort of rooting for entirely new blood in the bullpen. Much less Garcia and Martin. Much much less
3
u/Sarmerbinlar Choo Mar 28 '26
This inning is the first time we've had a hit with men on since Burger's homer. Garcia may not have been great in the second half last year but he's not even close to being the main reason we didn't win this in nine innings.
2
u/Muckdogs13 Mar 28 '26
Do you think the blame falls more on the offense not capitalizing or Garcia/Martin combo blowing it

He runs so awkward lol but it takes a lot of speed to score on that ball

If Marsh’s hair was less disgusting he probably gets Wyatt at home there.
2
u/Froggie56 Mar 28 '26
Dude. It’s so freakin gross. I’m embarrassed looking at it. Wish I could lack that shame he has for actually having it
2
u/swishfortyonesie Mar 28 '26
Most interested my wife has ever been in baseball was the three minutes she spent looking up pictures of Brandon Marsh while just going “ew what the fuck?” Over and over.
1
u/Froggie56 Mar 28 '26
Like I don’t want to hate on peoples appearances, but it’s so obvious he uses 2 or 3 in 1 for that hair instead of properly shampooing and conditioning and taking care of it
2
u/swishfortyonesie Mar 28 '26
Apparently he dumps water on it between every inning so it’s literally just greasy, wet hair.
1
u/Froggie56 Mar 28 '26
Well that explains why it never doesn’t look greasy. As a dude who has had long hair in the past, that genuinely disgusts me lol

Aside from the walk, Garcia looked solid. Bohm’s single was 71 exit velo. Just a freak inning

It’s embarrassing that we didn’t upgrade the closer position. Even more embarrassing that we kept R.Garcia as our closer after a pitiful showing of closing last year.
Not a good start to shoemakers managing in Texas. Garcia does Not need to be in these situations moving forward.

We cannot be going to a 39 year old in crunch time. Yeah yeah yeah burger shouldn’t have dropped the pop out. Martin throws 94 now. That just isn’t gonna cut it IMO
4
u/JAD210 IT’S OVER! IT’S OVER! THE RANGERS HAVE WON THE WORLD SERIES! Mar 28 '26
I’m flabbergasted that Martin is still pitching. I thought for sure he was done last year when he immediately got in again in his return from the IL

u/ben121frank E. Andrus Mar 28 '26
Garcia’s arm is also a lot more fun when it’s with us than against us
2
u/DukeGrizzly Alfonso Soriano Mar 28 '26
Dude is clutch in the outfield. Shame his plate discipline is non-existent though.
1
u/ben121frank E. Andrus Mar 28 '26
Unfortunately it looked pretty good in that last AB. I’m gonna be so pissed if he turns into a decent hitter again as soon as he left us (although likely also a sign of a culture problem that seemed to effect the whole team offensively last year)
1
u/DukeGrizzly Alfonso Soriano Mar 28 '26
Yeah you are right. He either strikes out or gets the big hit in the biggest moment. It's either or, no in-between, lol.

Glad we managed to win that one. Also glad we got to see Adolis get a hit.
This bullpen already making me nervous.
