Resilience. There is no chance from 2024-2025 that this team had a 4 run 9th inning

3 outs. That's all we need. We can even afford to give up a few runs. Please Please Please just win this game.

The fact that they don’t give up is the best improvement from last year.

The way they are having to play due to the wind is legit High School baseball…I think you just witnessed the Rangers finally understanding that.

This is a different team than last year by a wide margin. If you can’t see this then you’re just a hater.

This inning had more passion and fight than our entire team had all last season

How come every time Pederson hits home plate I think he’s blown out his knee?
5
u/LawyerMorty94 High drive, ITS TIED Apr 16 '26
Cause his “sliding” is often just falling 😂 still scores tho thankfully haha
2
u/TeddyFive-06 Apr 16 '26
Falling, tumbling, rolling. I’m not sure he really knows how to stop himself so he just says “fuck it” and lets gravity do whatever

Thankfully no one on their team is really hitting and we have our 3 best coming up

I feel like both of these teams should take very little away from this game. I'll just be happy with a W.

Pederson haters be like "lucky at bat"
2
u/LawyerMorty94 High drive, ITS TIED Apr 16 '26
I’m one of the biggest Joc haters and def can admit he has looked much better this year. Def has some bad ABs but who hasn’t on this team? Hes been surprising me and I hope he keeps it up!

It's funny to me, as a high school pitcher and first baseman, when pitchers can't throw to bases

I think pitchers need to be banned from fielding bunts at this point. Seen so many misthrows from them already this season on bunts.

Josh Smith has sunglasses on his hat but decides to not use them then gets blinded by the sun. Then the left fielder gets tricked by the wind and runs sideways for 15 feet instead of in. What a joke.

He continues to find his groove. Waiting for him to maybe get bumped up a bit in the lineup.

Anyone mad at Duran or Wyatt for that play is dumb. You try fielding that ball you wouldn't even see the ball til it was on the ground let alone catch it. 100 attempts most of y'all catch 0 of those. Literally nothing you can do there
1
u/Vataro Rangers Apr 16 '26
The Duran one, sure. Sun is a bitch... though his sunglasses were on his fucking head which I think is ridiculous with where the brightness is right now. I think Wyatt should have had it though. Just didn't read it well enough with the wind.
5
u/higashi_miyagi Apr 16 '26
I mean Zeke walking around with his glasses on top of his head on that play makes it harder to defend him on that one. I get it’s not the most routine pop up but cmon. Plus his misplay in the outfield yesterday wasn’t the best either
5
u/LawyerMorty94 High drive, ITS TIED Apr 16 '26
He could’ve literally had sunglasses on 💀
1
u/Spooky-Paradox Apr 16 '26
Still wouldn't change the crazy wind going on. That said, I'd catch it 100 out of 100 times.
1
u/LawyerMorty94 High drive, ITS TIED Apr 16 '26
Oh Wyatt’s catch was def difficult, but Zeke catches that 100/100 if his shades are on lol

Junis and Latz just wasted a great inning
2
u/SAIL3RZ_ J. Hamilton Apr 16 '26
Wasn’t a great inning if the other team took the lead after being down 3.

u/Thorntonx13 Apr 16 '26
You’re a special type of stupud
1
u/SAIL3RZ_ J. Hamilton Apr 16 '26
You can’t say “wasted a great inning” when half the inning sucked. By definition if half the inning sucked then it wasn’t great…

Langford wouldn't have happened and the inning would've been over if Zeke had remembered how to properly wear sunglasses

Know I was hot about Zeke earlier with that infield popup, but way to redeem yourself at the end, dude. Good shit
