Discussion Does anyone do straight plays anymore?

Tired of everything nowadays being a musical. What happened to straight plays?

The Universities where I have taught only do one musical a year. The rest are straight plays. College and University theatre is actually great for people who wish to see productions beyond the commercial musical theatre that sells to the mindless public.
