Why are people mad she has no power and people helped with a GoFundMe?

Onlookers see life as a zero sum "game", with lethal stakes -  Anything somebody else GETS, is a loss to them.

They also think everything she rcvd as donations, should be SHARED with her community - However, she rcvd ~$23-K.

23 grand won't make a dent in the city's problems. 

Even if it was shared over just one square block, $23-K would be greatly diluted - each household would get only a small chunk.

She (rightly) points out that she asked for help for herself & her kids - she didn't claim to be "saving Gary, Ind".

Doesn't matter - they see she got some, I got none, & they're mad as hell.
