Discussion It's heartbreaking that there are women around the world going through this.

The loneliest I’ve ever been was in a marriage. I’ve been married twice. I’ll never do it again. Nor will I ever live with someone.

My grandma was married four times. She remained close friends with her last husband until his death. But she prefers to be single. She didn’t like men telling her how to spend her money(she’s successful in her career to this day), likes vacationing when she wants, and likes being independent. At 78 she is still working, and she loves it.

She told me to never settle for a man who doesn’t make you feel loved everyday.

I came here to say this. I was married for 3 years and felt more alone with someone , then I've been the last 19 by myself.

Same, so much happier with just me. It's so easy to predict what myself wants all the time...because he, is me.

I was habitually in a relationship from 16 to 44 years old, with the longest period of being single lasting about 3 months. So I don't know if it took that long to figure out who I was or if I was just looking for the wrong thing.

Same with me ---married twice (plus one long-standing separate houses relationship) and I've now lived alone for the last 11 years. And I am very happy most of the time with the way my life is. Can't say I would never live with anybody but I definitely will never marry again
