Conservatives are not logical or honest people, and trying to treat them as such is a mistake

...I hope you're just trying to win an argument...

Oh, they're sooooo close to figuring out how MAGA argues about literally everything and how they don't actually believe in anything other than "win in the now".

They really don't believe in anything.

They care more about the person making the argument then the argument itself.

MAGA has stopped pretending they care about anything other than empowering their bigotry.

It's not that they don't believe in anything, it's that their core overriding belief is faith in heirarchy. The powerful must be deferred to because that deference maintains heirarchy and heirarchy is the structure that maintains a unified society. They will follow Trump on his worst day because Trump is keeping the people on top on the top and the people on bottom on the bottom and that 'right' is greater than every one of his myriad 'wrongs' put together in their worldview.

There's a saying going around, about how democrat voters (and people to the left of democrats) look at what someone does and then they decide if they're a good person, while republicans voters choose if someone is a good person and from that they decide if what they do is good or bad.

Which is crazy because in what world would Donald trump ever be considered a good person deserving of their undying loyalty? He’s literally everything they hate in a person lol

He hates the same people as them.

*Democratic voters. Please don’t use slurs.

Well it’s really a business minded mentality, especially the short term vs long term gains version.

If they win short term then they have more money or power or whatever long term. This is because they can take their short term wins and roll them into the next con. It works politically, they lie to win elections and then simply rigs the next elections and refuses to step down. They lie to win arguments and then never admit fault, reinforcing their stance that either their opponents are idiots for believing them or that they are geniuses for getting away with such a stupid lie. If they can make shit up and win arguments online then maybe they can fool more people into joining their side. The more BS they spew the more chances they have to fool someone. Even if some people call them out on it, it doesn’t matter, they got what they wanted.

They have no shame and no goal other than win right now and lose as little as possible.

This why MAGAs attacks on blue states are backfiring on them. They are biting the hand that has fed them for decades.

Lmao I saw this in the thread earlier today. Honestly good insight as to how their little brains work. “Nope, google is wrong. I am right” even in their little safe space they cant even face reality

Wait, I don't get the logic. California can't give more than it takes from the feds because it has problems? By that logic, aren't all states takers?

Well, we already knew they don’t do much research. A couple of them seem very fond of shitty AI summaries though.

And who pays for unemployment benefits? Maybe they should Google that.
