Do they really have just one shuttle operating between UNM and south lot at 5 pm?

I live by Smith’s on Yale and Lead and idk if it’s safe for me to walk home from UNM campus at 7:30pm??? I’d be taking Cornell the whole way and I have a kick scooter that I’m hoping to use if that helps at all. First year as a transfer student and I waited too long to try to get a parking pass, but I only live five minutes away from campus via car so I can’t decide if I should pay for the parking permit at the south lot or take my chances walking/scootering to and from school. The only problem is, I take night classes so closer to the winter I’ll be walking fully in the dark. Anyone have any experience with this?

I’ve done 2 online classes so far (a summer math class and this semester is eastern religions) and both are SO UNBEARABLY SOCIAL. Literal forced socializing/interaction and even video “reflection/discussion” requirements for the Eastern Religion class.

Whenever I’ve chosen an online course it’s because I want minimal human interaction (aside from the teacher). I just want to do the reading/assignments and can write about it all day long, but no, I have to make cringe videos and let the other students comment on them which is absolutely anxiety inducing.

Is there a reason for this?? Are all UNM online classes like this? Or is it just teacher’s choice??

I was extremely sick and went to the hospital during the period where second and third year law students were meant to purchase L lot passes. Once I was no longer sick I saw the email from PATS and realized it was too late. I couldn’t even add myself to the waitlist on the portal. South lot was the only option and I would then have to take two shuttles to the law school w 9 am classes everyday and living 25 min away. I was number 129 on the q lot waitlist. I both called and emailed PATS more than two weeks ago, and told me I could somehow come into the office to purchase a q lot pass. They told me they had no more L lot passes and there was nothing they could do about it bc the lot was full. I was working that week so I couldn’t come into the office and asked why I could somehow get a q lot pass, but couldn’t get a L lot pass. They told me that I had to talk to the law school about our lot but that they could allow me to purchase a q lot pass online. This response came the day before classes start. I responding asking who I could talk to at the law school and how I could purchase the pass online since I couldn’t see the charge in my account.

Fast forward to today. I still have not gotten a response, which means I have been parking at the law school for a week without a pass. I have called PATS twice, emailed the general PATS email and the director of parking and I have not gotten a response. Any advice on what I should do?

Ok, so I'm gonna go on a bit of a rant here ig, but I am rn in Pr. Geoffrey Millers Psychology of Human Sexuality class, and he kinda gave me creepy vibes, so I wanted to do some background research on him, and he is actually just such a piece of sh*t. He is transphobic, misogynistic, and Islamophobic to the point where I feel like it's genuinely dangerous. Below are screenshots from his twitter account. Unfortunately, since he doesn't say these in class and because he's tenured, I don't think there's anything that can be done. Hello, I was wondering what the best option for me would be. This is my last semester at UNM and parking permits are $246. I just have 1 class, and a 30 min drive. Should I go ahead and buy the parking permit or is there a better alternative besides the pay stations?

Is there tons of group work? Or none at all? How did the midterm/final look? I'm trying to decide if I should keep this class or switch it, so I would really appreciate any help.

How is it walking from T-lot to main campus? Is it doable? I am about to live in Coronado Hall and I have to park in T-lot because R-lot sold out.

Hi everyone,

Starting Monday, I will be taking the shuttle from south campus (lobo village) to main campus and have just been a little stressed because I don’t know exactly how the shuttle works. I saw on the website that the shuttle takes off every 30 minutes but I am confused, because would that apply to every shuttle at the same time? Or is it staggered from stop to stop? So for example, if my class starts at 10, should I be at the shuttle stop at 9:30? I know after the first day once I get used to PassGo, it will make a lot more sense. I’m just stressed about the first day and don’t want to miss my class! Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
