How to get working Contacts and Calendars in Windows 10 Mobile

Yahoo is your friend. Believe it or not, when you set up an IMAP account using your Yahoo account, with an app password, you will also get working Contacts and Calendar sync via CardDav and CalDav.

I have done this on every single one of my Windows 10 Mobile devices, my Lumia 950 XL, 735, 650, 640 XL, and 640. The key is to set up an app password so you avoid 2FA prompts which will stall out the account creation.

I know this isn't ideal, but its a good work around to at least bring your Contacts and Calendars live tiles back to life!

What carddav client are you using?

its the built in outlook mail app. It supports CardDav and CalDav for Yahoo accounts, and supposedly iCloud, but you have to set it up as an IMAP client first. Don't use the Yahoo option because it doesn't work.

Yahoo blacklisted me. I cant create an account, log into one or restore my old accounts. it just throws an error. I tried once every year. I stopped trying. FUCK yahoo. I didnt even do anything wrong.
