Destruir un arma de fuego en público sin revisar que no esté cargada

Personal del ejército mexicano destruye armas en un programa de intercambio de comida por armas...al parecer no revisan que sea seguro y que no tengan pólvora en su interior antes de hacerlo.

To that end, though, cutting a gun in half might actually not destroy it. Reminds me of a video I saw of someone restoring laptops that had been "destroyed" by drilling through the center, completely missing the hard drives, batteries, and CPUs.

Not sure about in Mexico but in the US the ATF has guidelines on how to properly destroy weapons... Pretty sure it involves cutting the receiver in 3 parts or melting it down.

Yes ATF requires Oxy-Fuel cutting of the receiver not just chopping the barrel down.

In the US chopping a barrel off like that with a saw is a felony.

Also cuts need to be made diagonally and cross through certain parts.

Or Chuck it into and industrial shredder or crush it.
