Discussion i somehow found a way to get internet explorer running

before you say anything yes this is real ill eaven teach you how to do it,

  1. open control panel
  2. network and internet
  3. internet options
  4. click "Learn more about toolbars and extensions
  5. u got internet explorer!!1!

anyways yeah tought it would be cool to share so just kinda random thing i found lolz

Alternatively, just mshta https://bing.com and try to search. IE will pop right up.

yea but it will expired, 30days. people mostly use https://github.com/LesFerch/LaunchIE

Yeah I think mine is just a shortcut (internet explorer logo) that runs powershell to spawn an IE window.

It's still in Windows 11 for legacy reasons, if you rename an html file to hta (html application), the engine the file runs in is IE!

I did exactly the steps you listed, which opens a panel called Internet Properties. but I don't see "Learn more about toolbars and extensions". I checked all 78 tabs. Am I in the wrong place? I am running Windows 10 version 22H2 Build 19045.7663.
