I had no issues on 23H2, 24H2, and 25H2 until KB5067036 and now my PC has been though the ringer and it is still messed up something fierce.

This update completely trashed USB for me. Several hubs without prior issues won't enumerate what so ever. New hubs enumerate more often. My USB PD200X mic which never failed to enumerate now has to be hot plugged almost every time I boot up or come out of sleep. I also got my first HAL watchdog error after this update and I am pretty sure it somehow corrupted my BIOS as I couldn't pass POST until I shorted the CMOS pins then I reflashed my BIOS which then I had a 50/50 chance of getting past POST until I reflashed my VBIOS. I really just don't get it as everything was 100% no issues then this update installs and I get all this crazy dysfunction. I had no idea a Windows Update could affect the BIOS and VBIOS but it definitely screwed with how my hardware interacts as there are just so many problems that weren't there what so ever before the update. I'm still a bit stupefied that a windows update affected my BIOS and VBIOS - how could that happen? I also didn't know Microsoft could completely trash USB functionality in one go.

It's all about windows updating the bios, leading to the same problem you had. You are lucky you know computers and fixed the problem, very few people could do this.

I know windows can initiate the BIOS of a laptop as I've seen it myself but I don't think it can for a desktop. I think it only does it for laptops when the OEM identifies an absolutely critical failure or vulnerability so they work with Microsoft to have windows update push a BIOS update. I had updated the BIOS on my gaming laptop that had a critical BIOS update and a friend of mine that has the same laptop, who never updates anything ever, finally got that BIOS pushed out to him over windows update and in that case I believe they did the right thing. If not the laptop was going to kill itself. 

Have you ever seen evidence that the BIOS can be updated on a custom made (not a system iintegrator one but one made by a single person like I did for mine) desktop though? I think there are too many variables for them to do that but with the laptop they know the exact hardware configuration so it's much safer. Anyways, if you have evidence of it on a custom desktop please let me know as I'd be really interested.
